Origin of the word Yoruba.

The word is of Islamic origin in Mali. It means people who.have a high civilization without having religion. It was used to describe people of the Oyo empire but it would have included IJESA, Ijebu and etc in Mali because they would not have been able to tell.the difference.
The word was in my opinion gotten from Europa meaning Europe because Europe was a region that was civilized without submitting to Allah. It came to be used by Malian Muslims for Yoruba people because they were the same way. Europa originally meant west of Phoenicia. It was a Phoenician word. Europe is west of Phoenicia.

I don't know the root word in Arabic. My post said it originally was Europa which meant west of Phoenician. The Phoenician language can be described as the ancestor of Arabic
