Op be ready to lose you wife. Don't come back here to disturb us with stories that touch.
Don't listen to this loser. He has always been a loser, advising people out of his stupid experience in his own marriage.

Bro, I sent my wife about 3 years ago to Australia. My salary then was a little above 1 million naira net monthly.

She came to Aussie as a student. After 2 years she invited me and our children.

I am now in Australia. The best decision I ever made in my entire life is to leave Nigeria.

If your family mistakenly come ta Australia, bro, they will forever remain grateful to you as my family is to me.

You are still young I suppose, I came into Australia at 48.

Bro, again, if you mistakenly enter Australia, you're made.

Your wife is even a nurse. The much needed nurses.

Stop using your family experience in advising other men.

Read what you posted and tell me why you should advice a fellow man that way.

For your information, there are millions of men living happily with their families abroad.

I'm am 49 by the way.

If you exchange 1.5 million Naira to pounds, you will get £696 which is quite poor compare to what he will be earning abroad. UK pays average of £10 pounds per hours and if he works 8 hours per day, that will be £1920 per month which is 4.1 million naira

Though, he will spend more on rent in Uk, tax, maintenance, transportation and miscellaneous, but standard of living is far more better in UK compare to Nigeria and don't also forget that naira has lost is purchasing power

1.5 million in Nigeria now is like 300k a year ago
With the way you're doing currency conversion upandan, it seems you don't know how things work abroad do you? grin...

Lemme put it into perspective for you undecided...

Let's use your own calculations undecided...

Can 1920 pound/month in the UK give you the same standard of living (or better) as compared to 1.5 million/month in Nigeria? undecided...

The answer is NO!! undecided...

Sir, it will and I will tell you why.

You have very good roads.

You have healthy water to drink.

You have constant electricity.

You will worry less of thieves, armed robbers etc.

If you buy one litre of fuel abroad, it is one litre.
You live I'm a clean and healthy environment.

You will worry less of malaria
No body will harass you on the road.

Above all, you will have peace of mind.

What other standard of living do you expect?

I currently work with a multinational company here in Nigeria, I have a son and my wife to take care of.

My wife is a registered nurse.

I want her to travel abroad for further studies, I have some savings already. And I eat. #1.5 m+ monthly.

Please can you suggest best countries she can go for studies and also with prospects of getting permanent residency soonest.
You are over thinking this issue...... Your wife is an RN.....

Send her to the UK to start work and she would slowly progress her career, whilst in the UK.....

If you have family members in the UK, she can start by squatting with them(not for too long), till she fully settles in.....

You can send her to UK to work and further her studies.Dont listen to anyone discouraging you. USA and Canada is not going for now.Once she passes her Nclex Exam, you can migrate to Australia, Canada or USA with ease.Uk is always faster.

It’s not possible if you want the nearest minimum for her.

Convert what you earn monthly to USD or GBP, and subtract her accommodation , feeding, personal expense, transport, and your own upkeep in Nigeria too, then you will know it’s not feasible. I did not include tuition cos I want to believe you will clear that before she departs.

Even with her picking up jobs there, it will be extremely careless to embark on such route with what you have.
remind am about expenses of the boy wey go d service him wife on him behalf too cool

@ OP while gathering this information, keep in mind that there is a risk in sending your spouse overseas while you remain in Nigeria. I've seen friends made this move and it barely ends well. I would only advise this move if it's a very short time arrangement with proper plans in place to reunite within the shortest possible time

That's an interesting opinion. Why? What factors are you putting into consideration?

Good Luck to Nigerians.

Find a clear strategy to safeguard your money in Dollars until you're ready. Given the alarming rate at which our currency is devaluating, taking this step is wise and prudent.
