LOL. Application fee is non refundable, there's nothing you can do about it.
Its like paying to write an exam and the person fails then he asks for his exam fees back.

Or A student who fails in school asks for a refund of his school fees.

That guy could be lying. In the US, you don't have to pay tuition fees before getting a visa. They expect you to get to school or even enjoy all your classes before paying your tuition fees.

America no be UK because they know that visa rejection rate is high. They even deny visas to students who got scholarships.
they denied my friend who already got a scholarship, the guy never balance till now.

I think the FG needs to pass a bill of getting a 50% refund if the visa was denied and more over the school should have refunded the money or probably help to facilitate the visa procurement... Either way our government should help to get a refund if visa denied.
No where in the world visa fee is being refunded make una stop all this capping Goverment should do this and that. Even Nigeria visa fee if you get stucked or visa not approved your money is gone and gone. You apply with fresh application and payment still pay new biometric as if they did biometric for you earlier.

But you support domestic violence against women. Calling it discipline. 🤷🏽‍♀️
Who knows if you might have ended up in jail by now if they gave you visa? Just think about it

If I were you, I’d see it as God proactively saving you from a future that you wouldn’t want.

Imagine black men complaining of racism. The lowest IQ people. No wonder we're the lowest IQ people and poorest race. In our state you can't even allow one tribe to become a governor cuz he's from a particular tribe. Same with federal government. I wish God could wipe out the black people. They don't contribute anything to the world except problems, hate, tribalism, wickedness, black magic and troubles. I know if table was turned the black would kill white people like chickens cuz of their skin color. Imagine even in UK, USA etc blacks are running away from their fellow black. They even prefer white people 😂

Yes na. Sometimes God is saving us from stuff we can’t see. We ask for signs from heaven and don’t acknowledge when we see said signs

In his case, four times denial is a strong message IMO.

The sooner we realise that these foreign embassies are using us to cashout the better for us.

In 2023 about 150,000 Nigerians applied for US Visa and according to the US embassy the application fee is about $185 which is about N305k and only about 5% of the 150,000 people that applied were successful, meaning about 142,000 application were rejected which amounts to just over $26M.

Meaning the US embassy in Nigeria made over $26M in 2023 from rejected Visas alone.

If we had a government, every embassy would be ordered to refund all or 90% of all rejected Visa fees. But here we are, we keep making money for these countries while we're still indebted to them via loans.

I just have to modify to add that in naira that amounts to over NGN43B, that's the allocation of an entire state in a year, and that's for the United States alone, now do your calculation for the UK and others, you'll understand why these people will never allow Nigeria to work.
If we had a government, every embassy would be ordered to refund all or 90% of all rejected Visa fees. Just imagine the display of ignorance and the number of people that liked it. This is how we ignorantly fan the emblems of hatred against our government and nation. Where in the world are Visa fees refunded? If you are ignorant and hate Nigeria and or her government, stop recruiting people to do same.

So who is going to pay the staff that attends to you, who will pay the security men guiding everyone, and which money will they use to buy diesel for their mighty generators? Abeg, you guys should go build your country! The same people who want to go to the US are busy making life unbearable for their fellow countrymen with unadulterated tribalism and sectionalism..............see how the so-called educated Yoruba people are ruling in utmost contempt of other groups!

This is just business for the developed countries while for Nigeria/Africa, it's a sad situation and officially sanctioned by our governments.
IELTS is there also. Nigeria, a Commonwealth nation for that matter.

Why is he not asking for school fees refund?
Why are Nigerians lying that visa application is costing them a fortune?
It can cost emotional trauma not financial trauma if you apply the right way and get denied.
Visa applications only cost thousands, not millions! Nigerians should stop lying!

Nigerians need to understand that most of these embassies are business centers. They make a lot of money from rejected visas. It's not only in Nigeria. Most African countries have a very high rejection rate. Even countries like Algeria that's more organized than Nigeria has a very high rejection rate. I always advise people not to put all their eggs in one basket. The average Nigerian has the mentality that it's either U.S. or bust. That's what happened this man. Always widen your options. Look at non-english speaking countries like Brazil, France, Spain, Poland and Finland. They are much cheaper than the U.S. and it's easier to move to the States from those countries after acquiring your degree and gaining work experience. Lastly, never rely on travel agents who are only interested in your money. Consult an Immigration lawyer who would give you legal advice.

You applied for BSc or Msc ?

They rarely approve BSc sha even if you have the full money, you must have strong home ties for them to approve Bsc visa with plenty money. Strong home ties like the successor to a thriving business in Nigeria, being a Royal blood like King's son destined to inherit the throne, etc.

I think the senate needs to compel the US embassy to have a kind of system where you pay 35% of the total visa fee and when you pass the interview you make the balance payments n then your visa is issued to you.

Why would they refund it? What of all the labor and manhours used to review those applications? What of all the back office work people have to do to schedule those interviews?

Did they beg folks who have almost zero chance of getting the visa to apply? If 120,000 people who had zero to 10% chance of getting the visa didn't bother applying and the embassy only had 30,000 applications to process, then they would need less staff and the fee night only be $85
