..Says Nigerians impoverished, burdened by policies

Makurdi—The Middle Belt Forum, MBF, has urged President Bola Tinubu to rethink his economic policies, saying that the dual policies of removal of petrol subsidy and floating of the Naira have impoverished the masses and placed an enormous burden on Nigerians.

The National President of MBF, Dr. Bitrus Pogu who spoke weekend in Makurdi said: “It does not require an economist to talk about the state of the economy and the wrong economic policies of the Federal government that have impoverished millions of Nigerians in about 17 months of this government.

“The fact is that this government just deliberately killed the economy with the sudden removal of petrol subsidy and floating of the Naira.

“By the reason of these policies, too much burden has been placed on Nigerians and therefore the lean resources they have is still being taken away either by the removal of subsidy or by the devaluation of the Naira.

“Both actions have impacted negatively on the cost of products and the direct impact is on the poor; because it is the poor that are suffering from the economic policies.
“The President needs to get able hands to handle his economic policies rather than doing things haphazardly.

“For example, rather than suddenly removing fuel subsidy, if he had started the CNG programme first and then made CNG accessible and affordable across the country before removing the subsidy, people would not even go around looking for petrol, they would be using CNG.

“But after killing the economy for over a year and a half then he started bringing the CNG thing and it is only having impact maybe in Lagos and Obajana and it is now getting out of reach because it is found only in a few places.

“Again, the cost of conversion of cars to use CNG is so astronomical and it has again created more problems. So members of his economic team are not doing a good job and we pray that he does a rethink.”

Was Subsidy actually removed or the gangster finished sniffing coke and scammed the whole country.

We are still paying subsidy.

Nigeria has been captured by the Lagos drug cartel till 2031.

Before he leaves office, hunger will kill many of his supporters.

Pickmycall:
Tinubu is a smart godfather. He is following IMF policy so that the money lender will continue to give him loans for him and his family to steal not that he want to reform nigeria economy.
Just watch how he will complete his eight (rigged)years with nothing to show with his reform but debts will accumulate for his incoming godson he will install to cover the skeleton in his cupboard
Simple. The man is masterminding his own heist and now that Buhari plundered Nigeria's resources wen borrrowing on future crude, he has to use the blood and life of Nigerians to have his fill. Nigeria is long gone to d dogs. We all know this. Death of many is s long term goal now and I. M. F gives no hoot. People r dropping dead like flies everywhere codedly

In Tinubu's mind he is doing well and Nigerians are enjoying...

Sometimes it becomes very hard to see the bottom from the top. He doesn't know d implications of dix subsidy mata because those surrounding him are feeding him lies. U won't understand until u start working for a big or powerful man, almost everybody surrounding a big man doesn't av d loco to tell him d truth, as long as dey are benefiting.

I have worked as a P.A to a governor in d past, an aide to a senator, later a P.A to a former minister... and while living with these people i learnt how they are distanced from the reality of the common man.

Me I have been thinking out aloud. If life was much better before subsidy removal, and Tinubu's tenure. Then why not go back to it, if that will be much better, and improve lives. Since the current government don't know how to handle the removal of subsidy and use it positively, until a government who is able to do so, comes into power.

Subsidy is gone

They should instead request for more investment in agriculture so middle belt can produce enormous food and set themselves as the true food producers of the nation.

They should ask for more healthcare, better facilities, and etc.

Subsidy is gone!!
