Nigerians are no longer interested in Tinubu's reform or his renewal of hope. Nigerians want Tinubu to take them back to where he met them. We don't want Tinubu's economic strategy where suffering is the requirement for prosperity |

Subsidy removal can remain but floating policy has to go and plan very well before re- introduce. Reversal of floating policy alone can return everything to normal within a month. |

Rethink what exactly? The devaluation of Naira? He cannot re value the naira, we just found out that the Naira has no value, naira never had any values. They were just propping it up. Tifnubu can start subsidising petrol again but as for the naira that one will keep depreciating till the real value is found. Which might be in the end $1 to 5000 or more. |

Lol... You should tell the rogues to rethink corruption and looting. Retaining subsidy only makes a bad situation worse. Subsidy removal won't also work because of the corruption and greed of those in charge. You can't have a prosperous nation when those ruling it are CRIMINALS. |

After all the hardship created by tinubu,he will still win 2027 election because Nigerians truly deserve the type of leaders that is ruling them. |

Subsidy was really gone when Dangote came on stream. The floating of the Naira could have been managed better since we're a nation of import dependent. All he should do is to increase wages (people are afraid of inflation) it's already here with us, while he cut the cost of governance. The two we care for the future of the citizens. Constantly pushing the Naira to the market will continue to expose Nigerians to poverty. |

TrackerSK:At this point, it's beyond Nigerians tbh. Tinubu now has the nation in his family pockets...! Just like Lagos. Only a blood and violent revolution or military coup can get him out of there. He will complete his second term, and put his boy (whether from the North or anywhere) into that seat... Pending when Seyi's turn comes. |

Tinubu is a smart godfather. He is following IMF policy so that the money lender will continue to give him loans for him and his family to steal not that he want to reform nigeria economy. Just watch how he will complete his eight (rigged)years with nothing to show with his reform but debts will accumulate for his incoming godson he will install to cover the skeleton in his cupboard |

treesun:The policies could have been done better, but those subsidies HAD to go!! Simply unsustainable. We are a poor country! Most people who read this will say what about our oil riches... How is South Africa with no oil able to have a budget of $133bln, while ours, even with our plenty oil is $32bln Even Egypt that has never been know as an oil giant has a budget of N98bln This oil has made us damn lazy for the last 40 years!! And while other countries have built industries in key areas that generate tax and export revenue...not to talk of tourism, Nigeria crossed its legs and went to sleep as the oil flowed. |

wellmax:And where has it lead us to because Saturday wey go sweet nah Friday we go take know. PBAT made a grave mistake by doing both at the wrong time. It doesn't make sense to float our currency when we producing nothing even our crude oil we can refine it here. And that of subsidy removal should have been implemented only when we have at least 2 functional refineries that serve 70-80% of our fuel consumption. PBAT only copied the IMF recommendations that was given to PMB which PMB the so called dumb guy didn't implement. The truth is Nigeria is going nowhere with this draconic and imperialist ideas from IMF ![]() |

Bat would not. Why would he? He is not affected by the hardship caused by his policies, so he is not concerned. What is important to him is having more money to loot for himself and cronies. His feeding, transportation, medical bills, utility bills etc are all FULLY subsidised by the government. The man has essentially been living off state resources for the past 20+ years. He has been able to corner state resources to himself. So, bat does not care because the hardship does not touch him. |

BigDawsNet:Exactly 💯. I could remember the time CBN do wuruwuru tactic to bring dollar down to #1000, a bag of rice drop down to 52k/56k within 2 weeks despite the activities of greedy sellers. Imaging if it come down to around #750, a bag of rice should be around 40k. Same thing will happen to every single product in the markets. Petrol will never pass #500 at this exchange rate. Aside this, those Northern merchants who prefer to sell their farm produce to Neighbouring countries for more profit would rather sell it in Nigeria as our currency would be stronger than theirs. This will equally make other stable food extremely more cheaper. Imported products including cars price will significantly dropped. Cost of doing business will come down, making it more desirable for many to establish businesses. But the arrogant Tinubu don't want to listen to our pains. |

Sorry, but the country was at the precipe of collapse. Also, saying doing CNG first before subsidy removal will take time and not be able to salvage the situation. And we know how Nigerians behave. Even now how many have embraced it with all kinds of non-provable theories. |
