kakatrigga:Is it a job? Is there an active registered company to this regards? Do you pay yourself salary? They’d want to be sure your job is recognized in your country and you’d have reason to return back to Your country after your vacation. Work on this things and apply. |

kakatrigga:Cryptocurrency isn’t recognized by the Nigerian government so it will not be a wise idea for you to go and register your company. I can give you some ways you can bypass this. Firstly; you need to look for a company that can be paying monthly salary into your bank account without income from your transaction. Secondly; you can get an employment letter from the company as long the company is registered and has company documentation such as form CAC 2.1, CAC 2A, CAC 7, Tax Clearance Certificate, and introduction Letter written on the company letterhead paper, and the company proving you her bank statements for three months at least but the company I worked gave me 2months and 15 days while I submitted my personal bank statement of three months and five days. If you can provide that easily you are good to go without stress. |

Please For those in France, which countries are basically closest to it as I’m planning my trip and wishes to explore other Schengen countries via train as I did when I traveled to some UK countries. Though id land in London first before flying to France from Ireland or Cardiff wales. I need stamps in my visas as my 2years UK visa is still virgin. I was supposed to travel last month October but didn’t because I wanted to explore France reason I had to put up France visa and I also got that. thanks to God. And it’s cheaper flying via London. I’m actually doing my research via schengen map and I’m seeing Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands and, Luxembourg but I believe those that reside there or have been there know best so that I’d plan my itinerary well. I have my Visa already but planning how to spend my days and hotel and train booking. Thanks. Please Nearest Schengen countries to Paris. |

Please note: if you enter other Schengen countries from a Schengen country, you'll only be stamped at the POE into the Schengen area and point of exit from the Schengen area. Example, if you enter France from the UK, you'll be stamped in France, then if you enter 10 other Schengen countries from France, your passport won't be stamped. If you want to be stamped in all Schengen countries you visit, you need exit the Schengen area then re enter it, eg, go to France from the UK, return back to the UK, then go to Germany from the UK, return back to the UK, then go to Amsterdam, then return back to the UK. This way, you'll be stamped in France, Germany and Netherlands. I'm saying this from experience. Best of luck. GodGraceOnly: |

Hi, Use Blabla Car or FlixBus if you want to explore schengen countries. France and Spain share borders. You can also navigate Portugal from Spain. Eitherways, Flixbus or Blablacar are best options. GodGraceOnly:From Uk, you can also enter France via Flixbus or Vueling Airlines. If you are more bothered about stamps, be informed to use Air to fly. Flights are relatively less around these regions. You can check with expedia Do not also forget that schengen regions operates open borders. If you need to use Flixbus from CDG, you can get it through Bercy . So , Plan your trip well and i wish you a wonderful tour. |

GodGraceOnly:Please note that Ireland runs a separate visa scheme from UK and Schengen. You will need to apply for their visa which might take two months to process. So, DOT Ireland from your adventure for now |

hello my flight and hotel cost 2.5 million of 5 days tourism, I have 5m naira and 800 dollars as closing balance hope am on right channel please? |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by donteebalo(m): 9:33am On Nov 11, 2024 |
Fashanu123:It is okay if you’re a frequent flyer (not first timer). But if it is your first time… Hmmmmm! The Visa officer will decide sha. The value of Naira is the major problem as they expect you to move around, feed, shop, etc. and must have something substantial when you return. |

donteebalo:Only in this forum, I have seen people whose closing balance is 3M and still get a 2-week visa issued. It has nothing to do with what you return to do at home after the holiday is done and fulfilled. Please we shouldn’t be creating anxiety in people's minds. |

It has everything to do with what money you’d come back to after your trip. People have gotten visas with a lesser account balance, but what was the exchange rate then? 3m is less than $2k. If you were to apply for a UK visa with that, they’d refuse you saying you do not have enough funds, and might have nothing to return to after your trip. If the applicant has a great travel history, it helps. But spending say 3m out of 5m balance for a vacation doesn’t look good. Unless they can show they have solid funds in investments. It doesn’t mean the poster can’t get the visa tho. I got my Canada visa with less than 250k balance, but I showed I could pull the money needed for my trip from my money instruments. AKAyomide: |

Opeyemi007:For God's sake, this isn’t a UK visa application for a tourist visa. It’s France and the maximum amount of money that’s needed to budget for the 5 days should be around €600. As I know; what matters is that you need to present a bank statement that has a good inflow and out of money. You can have 5M in your account and still be issued. I would love to ask you a question; applicant who applied for a long visiting visa of 10 years in Canada, are you saying that he needs to present a bank statement that will make the applicant go and come back within the duration of the visa to present a bank statement that will speak that is the applicant goes to the Canada territory within the duration then there should be money for the applicant to come on to spend after the elapsed of the visa |

There's no golden rule for visa applications, however it is important that an applicant demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to cover the trip, which is €120 per day for France or an average of €3000 closing balance. Closing balance play a critical role in the adjudication of a visa application especially for first time travellers. A visa officer will naturally see that it makes no sense that you present an account balance of ₦5m for example, and want to spend all or ₦4m on a trip of 5 days. That visa is likely to be denied on the grounds that "the information submitted was not reliable" - except the applicant demonstrates that they can easily lay their hands on additional funds in case of emergencies. The scrutiny for frequent travellers are usually more relaxed. AKAyomide: |

A good inflow and outflow doesn’t mean shit if the source of the funds isn’t verifiable. Just like the AfricanKel said, They consider how much money you’d have at the end of your proposed trip. For the Canada thing, Visas are issued based on the validity of the passport, hence an applicant who qualified for a visa at that point but wouldn’t qualify in the future would get a long term visa Regardless of if they’re able to afford a future trip. They’ve changed this rule last week. Like I said, people have gotten visas with amount lesser than 3m, but the exchange and their wider financial situation comes into play. AKAyomide: |

Those of us that had multiple visas without one kobo in the account dont even know what God did for us ![]() I laugh when i hear of account balance this and that. For schengen, especially, documentations is key to note first, before your balance. Take note! |

Lol Ayo, Schengen no dey operate like those our other people. Account balance is important. Article 21, No. 6.6.2 of the Schengen visa code handbook (the only authorised material used by Schengen visa officers) states that "The consulate should estimate both the amount of sufficient financial means necessary for the stay and the reliability of the FINANCIAL RESOURCES presented. (emphasis mine). The reliability of the means of subsistence presented should always be accessed according to the local contexts" "The consulate should request financial resources ABOVE that estimate when the purpose of travel is luxury tourism... (Emphasis in original)." "If the applicant covers the expenses of the journey himself, HE SHOULD PRESENT PROOF OF POSSESSING PERSONALLY THE REQUIRED RESOURCES (emphasis mine), eg, by salary slips, bank statements. The consulate may check the reliability and stability of the amounts credited to a bank statement in case of doubt". hunee: |

Africankel:Around June of this year; I saw a comment whereas someone got his Visa issued for tourist with a close balance of 3M on dot and the person applied for two weeks. I personally, I applied for 7 day’s tourist visa with a closing balance of 6.150M. With my calculation, the trip shouldn’t cost more than 4M. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Africankel(m): 7:42pm On Nov 11, 2024 |
AKAyomide:I will ignore your reference to the person in June, as I do not know what their travel frequency is. Was this their first Schengen visa? Do they have visas for UK, Canada, US, Japan, New Zealand or Australia? LETS LOOK AT YOUR APPLICATION:- You had ₦6.150m closing balance, and planned to spend 7 days in France. Very reasonable balance, for a reasonably short visit. Notice I ignored the ₦4m you had put out personally as your budget. A Schengen visa officer will usually ignore this, and focus on wether or not you meet their own requirement. UK visa officers won't ignore. According to the French visa application requirement, an applicant needs to show that they have at least €120 per day as living cost in France. In your case, €120 x 7 = €840. At an exchange rate of ₦2000/€1. It means a 7-day stay in France will cost you ₦1,680,000. So from your account balance, you had over 3.65 times the required amount for your visit. |

AKAyomide:I agree with you 100%. It's only UK that breakdown every bits of your account statement, helping you to calculate inflow and out flow Schengen just need to see that your account is good with inflow and outflow, as well as sufficient balance |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by hunee: 8:39pm On Nov 11, 2024 |
Africankel:Kel, my previous visas. I had a very low balance in my account not even in hundreds of thousands. You and I spoke about these things in the South African visa section Whilst I acknowledge account balance as key, it doesn't end up being the determinant for visa success. Pray for Grace abeg, Maybe for Study visa , work , Yes. But you see all those tourist visas brother, na documents. Over time, I had emphasised the need to always put documents together and get their applications right. These things matter alongside building a clean travel history. Many people with the millions end up getting rejections, we have seen many instances here. I wish everyone the best. |
