DomPerignon:There is no single indicator showing that there is excess liquidity in the market, no free money anywhere. The inflation will are experiencing here is as a result of wrong implementation of some fg policies. There has been scarcity of cash out there since last, money is not in circulation. |

DomPerignon:Sudden removal of subsidy with inadequate local supply and the fact they stopped defending the naira spiralled inflation out of control. Fuel runs this economy 100% so any increment in fuel results to increment of prices of goods across board, this has been the case since time immemorial. Maybe you are referring to american style of inflation, the one Nigerians are experiencing is as a result of policy somersault. |
| Re: Tinubu Govt Directs ₦5.4 Trillion Subsidy Savings Toward Nationwide Development by DomPerignon: 3:44pm On Nov 11, 2024 |
Artscollection:The classic definition of inflation is too much money chasing too little services and goods . You print so much money without consideration to growing the economy and production base , this is what you get. Removal of subsidy saves government waste that ought to be channeled to providing critical infrastructure and government service. Subsidy removal contributes a tiny fraction to our current inflation. As long as the government isn't using the money saved from subsidy to address the excesses liquidity and thieving governors who now are seeing three to four times what they got prior to subsidy and are heading to convert their new loot to dollars, we will still be crying of inflation. |

| Re: Tinubu Govt Directs ₦5.4 Trillion Subsidy Savings Toward Nationwide Development by Kukutente23: 4:38pm On Nov 11, 2024 |
DomPerignon:You gave the definition and you keep confusing yourself. When you have few goods and services, even if you don't print money, you have inflation. It is called cost-push inflation and it simply means the cost of producing goods and services has risen which leads to less production in a bid to reduce exposure to illiquidity risks. This leads to less supply to the market and leads to inflation. That is what Nigeria is battling with presently. So it is not about pushing too much money but the money in circulation is not sufficient to produce the volume of goods required to keep the market in equilibrium which makes prices to soar |

Lol...this is the type of Bulaba economics that Tinubu is practising. Thinking that the inflation in Nigeria was caused solely by the ways and means of Buhari government is myopic. It's akin to the same thinking of both the Finance Minister and the CBN governor who came out boldly to say that Naira would only experience depreciation for one or two months but would bounce back to N700/N800 if they floated it. Naira is approaching N2000 after 18 months and counting. There are other critical factors that contribute to inflation other than money in circulation. Stating that inflation would go down automatically once more money is taken out of circulation is for simpletons DomPerignon: |
