germaphobe:I absolutely agree with your last sentence. This team needs a win from anywhere at this point and then build from there. |

Roland17:We don't raise much there, just 2 Ballon d'Or winners, 85yrs unbroken of academy graduates in the matchday squad, with our academy graduates having played the most minutes in premier league history, won the most FA Youth Cups in history, and current Under-18 premier league champions averaging 4.8 goals per game. We are successful but greedy. Hmmm, maybe we are successful because we are greedy. ![]() |

Reports say contacts have been made with Sane, Kudus and Osimhen. It will be annoying if Kudus ends up being more expensive than Osimhen. 100m? For all this season is worth, 2/3 will be a great addition to this team. If we can woo an Odegaard deputy on loan too, e no go bad. We need this January window than anyone else. |

iamoyindamola:I was going to call your attention to our game against Brighton where we scored 5, I think on Friday. Also, our defense has improved and we are keeping clean sheets. Today, we scored 4 against Juventus who are table toppers in Italy. Na ogun go continue to strike that werey! |

Isn’t VAR supposed to remove the human error dynamic in officiating? How are they still getting it wrong this much with VAR? A journalist needs to conduct a serious underground investigation focused on officiating, including the application of VAR in the EPL. PGMOL needs to be overhauled because it is making a mockery of officiating under Howard Webb’s leadership. It’s a big shame referees continue to get a pass for some of the most absurd calls ever seen in the game. The officiating standards have declined significantly in the EPL. I would like to see FIFA punish the FA again by not selecting any English referee for the next WC. |

Nwaneri scored the only goal for England U19 today. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mine3112: 9:40pm On Nov 13, 2024 |
Roland17:Arteta will be the architect of his own downfall if care is not taken because another coach will take up this present arsenal team and win a major trophy the fans have been craving for. You can't have Nwaneri in your team in the absence of Odegaard and you keep on playing 2 blocking 4 with the same outcome. He should give the boy the chance even if Odegaard is fit. |

Shegzdave:Initially I thought he didn't want to rush him. But after his performance in the Carabao cup and some PL in came in as sub, I wondered why the manager was reluctant. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Shegzdave: 11:25am On Nov 15, 2024 |
Spy360:I think Arteta is always afraid to take a risk and this is bad cause against Southampton, he ought to give the lad a start cause he performed in the carabao cup despite scoring two goal, even sterling was given a start in the Southampton match. Also, I don’t know what Arteta always hope to achieve when he always bring those lad whenever we’re losing a match or at the verge of drawing the match, look at what he did with Lewis skelly, he did same mistake twice (against city and pool) and it cost us cause he brought in the lad and we ended up drawing the match with both goals coming from the lad end thereby causing unnecessary pressure on the lad |

In as much as i like King Kai and what he has to offer(though I think isn't always enough), I also do think we need a striker, at least majority of us here advocated for that signing in the summer but it couldn't happen. We couldn't get one in the last window doesn't mean we need to remind each other here why we need one after each poor output. Having a striker doesn't mean our attacking short comings will be solved automatically, all the forwards needs to proactive and I know Arteta won't sign a striker just because of cross and nod. Liverpools deadly attack of MFS didn't have any outstanding striker but Arnold and Robertson dey rake up assists year by year. The working formula needs to be sort out by Arteta and I believe with Odegaard back, Timber and Calafoiri available, some magic can be cooked. White being out for long leaves us with only Cala and Tomi, glad both will be back after internationals. |

Roland17:It's not that easy Chelsea have 2 outstanding, city have 1 and we only have second leg against these 2 sides City and Chelsea match will just decide where the league is going |

germaphobe:We have strikers. The reason you guys don't see it is because of the position they play. Our strikers are the inverted wingers. This is the formation you see ....................Raya....................... White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber ........ Partey.......... Rice............. .........,....... Odegaard.................. Saka.......... Havertz.... Martinelli This is what Arteta sees, ....................Raya....................... White.........Saliba........Gabriel ........ Partey....... Timber......... Odegaard. Havertz........ Rice ..........Saka........ Martinelli...... The fact is that there's a lot of movements within the team when with the ball and without it, when pressing and when defending etc Some times White can overlap while Timber joins the back three. If you take your time to check you will confirm what I have said. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 11:39pm On Nov 17, 2024 |
Spy360:bro I don't agree with this. Martinelli and Saka are too wide to be considered as strikers, and that is exactly what Arteta wants from them, to be wide and drift inside from the lines. What you said is same as saying Neymar and Messi were strikers during MSN era or Mane and Salah were strikers too. I choose to humbly disagree with you on this one. King Kai drops into the midfield since the absence of Odegaard because of how trossard plays but now that Odegaard is back he won't drop so deep when playing up front again. |
