This will be a good news, simply because the price of many things are largely dependent on petroleum and FX. So, if the price of petroleum products can go down, it will reduce inflation and increase the purchasing power of the people. |

Finally Dangote have his way to monopolize the oil industry same way he did for Cement that is no longer affordable to the common man ...dangote cement is 9k per bag ... Allow every one to compete evenly in the biz. This is only way to reduce price |

If you are expecting anything good from Tinubu, you will wait tire. Nothing good will ever come to this country so far that wicked man is at the helm of the affairs of this country. The only period he will relief the masses is when another election is gearing up but the worst will happen if mistakenly he is voted in again. All those guys u see defending him on Nairaland are benefitting from his government. You can't defend a nonentity on empty stomach. |

Since Tinubu made that thoughtless and senseless 'subsidy is gone' statement, they have been on overdrive, dishing out propaganda, going back and forth, and giving false hope in a hopeless situation that they have sunk the entire country and its citizens into. |

REDshouse:Others should be allowed to compete, but strategically and economically, it is better we encourage more investors to establish local refineries. The FG/NNPC are the problem! What they should have done is to agree to sell the crude to Dangote in naira at a pre-determined fixed exchange, and then negotiate and agree to a pricing template so that citizens could buy the products at reasonable, affordable prices from the refinery. This would ensure that Dangote does not take advantage to make excess profits. But the NPPC adding their own margin/markup on something they did not produce shows how irresponsive and irresponsive the FGN/NNPC are about the negative impact of the price of fuel on the economic hardship of the people |
