airmark:Lolz. ![]() Do u know that there are lands in the Epe corridor that are strictly reserved to be for Agricultural usage? Those lands are expected to be used for farm settlement, anybody that acquires such land and develops a residential or commercial premises there will be running foul of the law. What I'm suggesting is that such prohibition should be for lands close to the proposed refuse dump site. This is to prevent spread of diseases in the future . That way , nobody should buy land close to the dump site |

BlueRayDick:Yeah When he brought Visionscope during his tenure, they built that place. After he lost, LAWMA took over the place |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 11:02am On Nov 12, 2024 |
izzou:That place was built like a complete processing plant. I think they do recycling there(Tho I'm not so sure) |

In terms of waste management, Lagos is Number 1. If you score Lagos 10%, be ready to some states -300%. Another state that tries is Enugu. Can't say for a lot sha. The major problem is the inability to separate waste so that it can be recycled. If we can be recycling 80% of our waste, we wouldn't need lands everywhere for disposal. |

airmark:Power supply under Tinubu is no better than it was under Buhari, and yes, I enjoyed over 18 hours for a stretch of months under Jonathan as well. Overall though, there's been some improvement in power supply as the years have gone by. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 11:04am On Nov 12, 2024 |
BlueRayDick:Yeah. I don't know whether it is still the same, but when Visionscope started there, it was doing all that. Another place is Oshodi too...at Charity bus stop |

izzou:Maybe if Ambode had avoided political problems, he would've been judged fairly. Back then the visionscape idea looked really bad and the implementation made his administration looked so poor. Looking back now , he seem to have a very good initiative but messed up its implementation. That time they will just put one giant Visionscape dump in a central location and before day break the dump will be overflowing with refuse ![]() All those LAWMA people he was trying to run down worked in conjunction with area boys to frustrate whatever good he had intentions of doing with that Visionscape . They delibrately dumped refuse on major roads and public places. If Visionscape packs the refuse this morning, before evening the whole area will be littered with another heap of refuse . That killed whatever goodwill he had with the people |

BlueRayDick:it was terrible. and it is a lesson in stakeholder management. if you do not carry along your stakeholders - however well intentioned your project is - it is dead even worse - it was conceived by a company based in an ordered - first world society. dubai. wetin consaign nigerians with sorting rubbish for recycling? |

GloriousGbola: ![]() Nigerians no get chills at all. It was just like when Fashola was busy planting flowers everywhere; bar people living in places like Magodo, Ogudu, GRA Ikeja, Lekki/VI/Island axis, most people didn't really care about any yeye flower. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 11:26am On Nov 12, 2024 |
Amigoss:Not all. Places like Totowu in Ado Odo Ota that share border with areas in Igando can be used for such ventures if Lagos ready to play ball with Ogun state |

BlueRayDick:Yes it was built for recycling waste |

Theflint1:Yes you might be enjoying during GEJ's time, just as I enjoyed it when I was living in a Federal quarters in Enugu during my NYSC. The fact that Ikoyi, Magodo and some highbrow areas were enjoying supplies before Tpain came into power, didn't mean Sodiki was enjoying it back then. I have people in Naija that suffered power supply under Jonathan and Buhari and they confirmed they hadn't been using their gen sets for like 4 months until recently. Ikorodu area, where Sodiki lives, inclusive. The question still remains, did some areas notorious for poor power supply for years, enjoy improvement recently under Tpain? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by LordAdam16: 12:01pm On Nov 12, 2024 |
airmark:Why will thunder fire him? It has been a decade-long trend for power to be better during the rainy season. This started late into GEJ's term. And became the norm under Buhari. Scan through NL archives and you'll find several comments and threads about improved power supply during Buhari's first few months. Part of what fed the "body language" narrative. Tinubu has done nothing special on power. This time last year, average generation fed into the gird was above 4000MW. Likewise in 2022. It's around the same figure as of today. What has happened in Nigeria under GEJ, Buhari, and now Tinubu is that more pockets are being fed by mini grids, for instance Barth's Geometric in Abia and Diss.Troy has shared some developments in Akwa Ibom. Such that 4000MW goes farther today than it did in 2013. In absolute terms however, we're at best static. You could even make the argument that we're declining because more money has been poured in. Collections are up. But all-time peak generation record was in Q1 2021 at 5,800MW under Buhari. It's ingenious of you to attempt to gaslight Nigerians in Nigeria from outside the shores. -Lord |

LordAdam16:You guys keep on giving the fool attention So far I am paying for the supply and his useless father didn't give me a dime Moreover during Gej, we don't know about grid collapsing |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 12:25pm On Nov 12, 2024 |
airmark:TPain is less than 2 years into his administration, other than increased cost of tariff, there's been no noticeable difference in power supply from Buhari's tenure. |

airmark:The question still remains, did some areas notorious for fuel queues for years during the festive seasons after fuel subsidy removal, enjoy improvement recently under Tpain? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Nobody: 12:32pm On Nov 12, 2024 |
Theflint1:I want to bet there are some places worse off with increased cost of tariff on estimated billings |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by airmark(m): 12:37pm On Nov 12, 2024 |
LordAdam16:I believe you read my last post and where I confirmed that those whose areas never enjoyed power supply consistently for years confirmed improvement for 4 months. This story of dam being full during rainy season over the years never solved the hydra-headed distribution challenge. I know of someone that had 2 gen sets and had to give out one, because he saw no need for having 2. I got to know this as I usually send online tasks to him to execute and he confided in me. Like Sodiki he is based in Ikorodu. Agenda must influence posts and truth sidestepped, because of hate for Tpain. It's just an issue of ''they don't want you around, and you are singing". |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 12:37pm On Nov 12, 2024 |
Amigoss:Most likely. Given what's being spent on the power sector today, are we getting the value to match that expenditure? Nigerian's would see a thing move from 50 - 100 and would start singing Hallelujah not knowing they've been ripped off 500 in the course of that improvement. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by airmark(m): 12:44pm On Nov 12, 2024 |
Amigoss:I don't know why you always wear the garb of asking inconsequential questions. We are strictly talking about electricity, whether it improved recently before the attacks or not. I didn't ask any question about fuel, security or Tpain's general performance |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by airmark(m): 12:46pm On Nov 12, 2024 |
Theflint1:If we calculate the amount PDP burnt on electricity with nothing to show from Obj time, we will appreciate the little wins. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by airmark(m): 12:47pm On Nov 12, 2024 |
Theflint1:In your area probably, because you have been enjoying it before now. Let those that suffered under Pdp's misrule talk about power supply. |

BlueRayDick:I understand but you are now making a new directive/legislation with no human face to trample on land owners' right. Was the directive there before they bought the land? "We, the about to happen." "Lands they are supposed to use to build factories for employment for our children they want to take it from us without full payment/compensation and dump refuse." We will use every means to fight back including voodoo. Their legs will swell if they enter our lands forcefully". You get the drift? |

airmark:This doesn't even make any sense. We are talking of areas that are neither residential nor their C of O has been issued. Nobody is talking about a land that has already been acquired with full title; they are virgin lands which belong to the state government by law. This ur forced attempt at sarcasm is not "Sarcasing " at all. Rest! |

airmark:2022. Generation was 4000MW. 2023. Generation was 4000MW. 2024. Generation is 4000MW. 4000 MW is insufficient for a country of 210 million people. This is not Jesus feeding a multitude with 5 bread loaves and 2 fishes. Everyone does not benefit from improved power supply during the rainy season. Early this month, many parts of the North decried electricity issues for weeks. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy873j318jyo For every neighborhood with steady power there are many others with awful electricity. We literally have Bands. Tinubu has done nothing on power. Your friend will buy a generator at 400K. Power it with gasoline at 1100/liter (12,000 for six hours) for the next few months. Mid next year, he'll start enjoying power again. The seasonality is GEJ and Buhari legacy. The outrageous cost of off-grid energy solutions is T-pain's contribution. This is from 2013. https://allafrica.com/stories/201311281059.html 11 years out. The exact same output. How else do you describe failure? Heck, this vandalism you're lamenting about intensified partly because of T-pain's economic policies. How will there not be worsening vandalism when a liter of gasoline increased from 200 to 1100 in only 18 months. Bag of rice is 110K and December surcharge is still on the horizon. Enjoy your working adopted country in peace. Don't insult the sensibilities of Nigerians. -Lord |

LordAdam16: Your friend will buy a generator at 400K. Power it with gasoline at 1100/liter (12,000 for six hours) for the next few months.big man talking this is how we do refurb your petrol gen by buying engine only at 180k 10kg of lpg [was 12k now 13.5k] will power a 3.5kva gen for 14 to 16 hours i may be going back to basics - buy a 2kva gen - that may run for over 30 hours on 10kg split between 2kva and 3.5 kva Heck, this vandalism you're lamenting about intensified partly because of T-pain's economic policies.to be fair to t-pain - the vandalism is the terrorists and bandits upping the ante. |
