This guy predicted doom all these months; obidients love him for it. Now that he has projected positivity they'll call him names. Why they don't want progress or positivity for the country they intend to preside over only God knows |

Scam projection. As long as production is suffering and Naira volume in circulation is same, it is bound to drop in real value. It may only strengthen temporarily due to defferred loan repayment from IMF WB. He is political with his analysis. The only positive is dangote refinery that has introduced substantial value addition by reason of local refining of crude. |

What a double talk! 1. Naira will trade at no less than 30% of its fair value 2. Naira will not go more than 2000 So, will naira appreciate or depreciate? |

I pray it turns out so. The naira is now so weak that the highest denominational currency can't even buy a loaf of bread in the market. Just like Zimbabwe which has a trillion note, the CBN should start thinking in the direction of printing 10k or 100k note, if not, to get Maggi in the market, we will need a poly-bag filled with money. Better still, Nigerians will start ditching the naira for the USD, just as it's happening in Zimbabwe |

alanto:It’s a thing of tribalism which they are cursed with. As long as a president from their region is not there, they will hate the country and condemn every other persons leading the nation. They started it with Buhari aka Jubril, now it’s Tinubu. The country will be progressive only if their person is leading which is why their person never gets there to lead ![]() |

Comedian. Analysing economic variables under Ceteris Paribus condition can never work in Nigeria where nothing is constant. With these current leadership, Naira can never gain substantial value, unless manipulated artificially by the govt by depleting the foreign reserve which is not sustainable. How is it possible when businesses are closing down, no foreign direct investment due to harsh business environment? Even our non-oil sector is in a sorry state, and hence limits our exportables. The govt policy direction and lifestyle do not point to a blissful future. They can only thrive by propaganda and fake promises. |

Lithiumite:So they dont teach you guys that part in BMC crash courses? Let me try for you..... When WB and IMF gives loans for public projects. The projects are expected to take time to be executed. They also need time to get up to speed operationally. That means there has to be some delay of repayment schedule to allow returns from the projects start trickling in before it is done. That grace period is what uncle Yekini and his appointees are spinning as effect of good policies. No. It is actually down to suspended delay in repayment of dollar loans. The govt is using dollars meant for projects to reduce burden of foreign exchange demands and also grow the forex reserves. In turn, they are using saved subsidy removal in Naira to do projects and cover up the scam from lenders like AfDB IMF and WB. Get it? It will still go burst. |
