Misleading headline. Is it the OP didn't read the report? ... or has comprehension difficulties? Did the girl receive $11.5 M? Is the money from the US government or Connecticut?

Kudos to her ... but I don't see how this will be effective in keeping harmful viruses out of the classroom. How can it be more effective than if the children wore masks that are effective in blocking viruses? Even if it works ... and shuts out 100% viruses from the classroom ... wouldn't that compromise the immune system of the children by not having them constantly exposed to viruses and building immunity? Viruses are part of life ... humans cannot survive without them .

In the rank of what makes one a citizen of a country, birth outranks your parents' nationality. The girl in question, was born and bred in America, I can bet she's probably never been to Nigeria once in her life. The education she's received so far, American. Her social circle so far, mostly American. The opportunity to excel was provided by an enabling American environment. If she were in Nigeria, would she have gotten this opportunity? tell yourself the truth... nobody is ignoring her Nigerian heritage nor hating on it as you stated (don't even know where you got such a ludicrous line from), I am simply stating that she's an American first....all the articles I've read on her (and I did some more research on her idea cause it sounds so elegant in its simplicity) labels her a Nigerian only, like Nigeria had a hand in her success.
