What Deji is doing now as a lawyer, even with few months of experience, will page way for him in the legal field. Falana should be supporting VDM as an experienced lawyer to fight the corruption in Nigeria. On the other hand, VDM should settle with him out of court, even if it is private apology

By the way Oga, VDM rushed to interview assaulted Bolt driver to promise him justice . Deji wasted no time becoming the driver's lawyer. What is the end result today? Driver even apologized to Rep who assaulted him with VDM and Deji long gone to the next attention hot-spot of harassing Wike who is doing his job.

The problem is Nigerians lacking independent minds. If not most would see "brave realists" VDM and Deji are no better than GOs, Politicians, fake news bloggers etc.

The bolt driver decided to sell out to the politician , made a video without even acknowledging the publicity and free legal representation.

When one is sincerely fighting a "just" cause, it must be devoid of a desire to settle personal scores with perceived political enemies or simply to spite them with the intent of bringing them to disrepute.


Dancing simply because a case was adjourned speak volumes of the very intent ab initio.


For the umpteenth time, I advise this seemingly deranged fellow to tread with caution.


If eventually the case doesn't go in his favour, his admirers and instigators wouldn't begin to cry foul.

While I agree with you that vdm is doing right by making people accountable for their actions, it should not be at the expense of others. What he did to the falanas was clean, clear defamation. If in doubt go and watch the video, set aside your emotions. His statements over the audio tape is the issue. The allegation made by Bob in the audio is another matter entirely.
Falana has built his reputation over 40years, his kids are also building theirs, surely they will not let someone cast doubt on that image without seeking redress.
The falanas graciously and without malice gave vdm the opportunity to apologise and let bygone be bygone, he rather made deflective statements saying he will not defame his "uncle falana" or his family, that was not a clear apology. Supprisenly, the same vdm demands people make amends after calling them out, but when it is his turn, he cannot eat the humble pie and do the same.
Anyway, it is the right of vdm not to apologise, it is also the right of the falanas to seek redress if they feel defamed, let the court settle it. Of course to show no malice the falanas did not seek a criminal route which they claim exist, just as that erisco fellow did with that lady, but rather chose the civil route.
As I said earlier this is not emotional but simple legal process, when the lawyers see themselves in court, them go greet even share shayo together as no be fight.
As for deji, of course it will help the reputation of his chambers, it even pays him not to give vdm proper advice as the more noise, the more popular he becomes. Vdm though should note his lawyer was just called to the bar 1or 2 months ago, normally new lawyers attach themselves with chambers for few years to build up experience.
Finally, if you have had some experience with legal issues in naija, you will know that a good lawyer is one that settles your issues without you ending in court.
