Nigeria Receives 148 Nigerians, Including Infants Repatriated From Niger Republic

The Nigerian government has confirmed the receipt of 148 Nigerians repatriated from Niger Republic.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), which made this known in a statement on Thursday, said the returnees were repatriated from Niger Republic on Tuesday.

The statement said they were received by the NEMA Lagos Territorial Office (LTO), alongside other key stakeholders, with support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The returnees landed at Lagos' Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Cargo Terminal, at approximately 2:15 PM on Skymali flight ER-CTZ, with a total of 148 individuals,” the statement added.

According to NEMA, the repatriated Nigerians include 120 adult males, nine adult females, 10 male children, seven female children, and two infants.

“Due to heavy rain, there was a brief delay in moving the returnees from the aircraft. Once the weather cleared, officials from the Nigerian Immigration Service arrived, and the aircraft handlers provided buses to transport the returnees to the biometric registration centre for documentation.

“Other stakeholders present included representatives from NCFRMI, IOM, and FAAN,” the statement noted.

This has to be fake news for one reason.

So if Niger Republic wants to deport Nigerians, they will do so via aircraft to Murtala Mohammed International Airport? What happened to their Daura/Katsina border? When the majority of the so-called deportees have probably never boarded an aircraft or even strayed into an airport in their entire lives.

When a wretched country like Niger republic starts deporting Nigerians, just know that it's finished. I won’t be surprised if Burundi and South Sudan also begins to deport Nigerians.

What an abomimable disgrace. It will never be well with Buhari and Tinubu, two foolish old men that detroyed Nigeria. A country that was once referred as giant of Africa.

Those people were deported from Algeria into Niger republic. Ordinarily, Nigel can't just repatriate Nigerians easily like that. I've passed through that route and am telling u from experience. Niger republic has been a dumping ground where Algeria send all their black illegal migrants to, IOM is already on ground to receive them in their camp and afterwards process their final deportation to various countries of origin. That's exactly what happened.

What are sane Nigerians doing there?
If not bad leadership and governmental incompetence, Cluelessness, Ineptitude,no shithole African country would be trying any stupid move with Nigerians living in their territories.
Well if our useless government has any sense,as the shithole deported Nigerians, the electricity supply they get from here should be totally cut off indefinitely.
Shitholes are now challenging Nigeria, all because of government Ineptitude and incompetence.
It's well.

Re: Niger Republic Repatriated 148 Nigerians, Including Infants by lelion: 10:20pm On Nov 14, 2024
They were deported but not by Niger Republic..These are mostly Nigérians who tried unsuccessfuly to travel to Europe through Niger Republic. When they fail to cross the Sahara désert, they go to the UN office in Niamey ( OIM), and ask to be deported. The UN pays them between 400-800 dollars depending on their situation, before deporting them.
Please Note: Niger Republic does not deport Nigérians, except those boko Haram or bandits victimes, who they usually send back across the borders..The media should stop the lies
