I'm not sure he gave him hope of succession, because I heard he said that his son will inherit the church and this gist was about 8 years ago. So if I that I'm not a member can hear such there's no way all the pastors don't know this. I learnt so.e pastors left then. Maybe he was thinking he and his kids will keep controlling the northern branch but they want to take that away so ge decided to leave. Also seeing the young oyedepo son building his own business centre might have influenced him further.
