The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has described a news report that it has ended the importation of refined petroleum products and is now sourcing from the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and other local refineries as a misrepresentation and misinterpretation of fact.https://dailytrust.com/nnpc-denies-stopping-fuel-imports/

It was plain mischief by the newspaper as nowhere in the quote of Mr Mele Kyari did he state that NNPC has stopped importing. I am sure that NNPC vendors with valid contracts will be wondering what the heck is going on. The response by the NNPCL was too slow and it is not good at all with that fat salary those who should have responded collect. However, it's better late than never. |

NNPCL can't stop importation of petroleum products as there is presently no refinery operating in Nigeria in the face of the law Dangote situating his refinery in a Free Zone means the refinery is technically in a Free Zone outside the Nigerian Customs territory.. if Dangote want, we go open book for am. He has no legal claim or right to anything in Nigeria's Petroleum Industry and cannot quote any of the provisions contained in the Petroleum Industry Act, 2021 in the Nigerian courts. The Petroleum marketers should better shine their eyes and protect their investments. When we are ready to play by the rules laid down in the PiA, NNPCL will see to revival of our four major refineries, not a private business owner coming to quote Government laws as if he is the Government. |

WHAT A COUNTRY!!! Tinubu is extremely useless and inept as a leader. He can't even ensure his people are accountable. They say one thing today and deny it tomorrow. And he wonders why no one trusts him or his government? Coupled with the fact he comes from a tribe well known for deceit, hatred and untrustworthiness? Talk about a recipe for disaster |

The only reason NNPCL allowed Dangote refinery to happen was because they thought he can’t complete it. If they knew they would have stopped it by any means possible |
