This are two distinct organisations.

Nato and the US and the European Union designated PKk a terrorist group. The YPG is not designated as terrorist group.

And the YPG is a different oraginszation from the PKK, although they share a common enemy in Turkey, and they both have kurdish origins. Both are two very different and distinct groups.

Only turkey view the YPG as a terrorist organisation due to its struggle for independence in the kurdish autonomous region.
