Former undisputed world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is set to make his first professional boxing fight in almost 20 years, against YouTuber and actor-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

Tyson became the youngest boxer in history to win a major heavyweight title when he was just 20 years old, in 1986. One by one, Tyson won the three major titles of his era (WBA, WBC and IBF), and he also secured a valid claim to the lineage when he stopped Michael Spinks in a single round in June 1988. At that point, Iron Mike was the baddest man on the planet.

To date, Paul has competed in 11 professional fights, winning 10, 7 of which came at the end of the competition. Most of his fights have been against non-professional boxers. In his last fight in July, Paul won by stoppage in the 6th round against Mike Perry, an MMA boxer and also a bare-knuckle boxer. Ironically, that was the date Paul was originally scheduled to face Iron Mike, but that fight was pushed back to November after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up on a plane, and medical professionals advised him to do not fight until you have recovered from the episode.

Today 15 November 2024 iron Mike will be fighting his legacy fight, fight for honour against Paul after Jake Paul dramatical insult against him regarding his daughter,Tyson said its not about money but legacy said the 58years old legend

Mike Tyson shouldn’t have taken this fight. It does nothing to enhance his legacy rather it’ll diminish it.
Tyson is not young anymore and he should channel his energies in other ventures not fighting a gen z social media celebrity with some loose nuts in his cranium.
If Tyson should fight, it should be against seasoned ring veterans like him such as Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield etc in a celebrity fund raising event.
The winner here is already Jake Paul. I think he will win but I pray and hope that Tyson teach him a lesson of his life. I don’t see this happening.
