I am already a third party seller.
I am looking for how to get it directly from MTN.
It is supposed to be cheaper if I am buying it directly.

Please, what can we do about this?
The update was too impromptu and very unfair. Indeed, it's a breach of contract. If you know how to get the right authorities, please share. At least, let the effective start like in a month time.

Not just a month but when ever your current plan expires.
That is the right step to take in a normal situation and country.



But Nigeria is not normal

Please, I saw in MTN FAQ's that; the new policy of sharing data 10times per month, is only applicable to new bundles and not to existing bundles. Please, if you have shared up to 10times, try it now, to confirm the authenticity of this their claim.

This is most likely true o. After seeing this comment, I decided to verify. In one of my sims, I have shared for 12 times between 11th and today. I sent the twelfth one today and would share more before the day ends. So you are correct. It applies to new subscription only. Thanks for the eye opener.

Yeah,
I have been sharing normally on my 3 sims but after I exhaust the data balance, I have to look for alternatives.

You are right. I just completed a data share for the 11th time this month.

I have a feeling that major data sellers are behind this as people were not patronising them any more.

They're at it again.
MTN need to be probed. In the website, MTN.NG, they said that existing bundles (i.e bundles before 31st October) are exempted from the new rule of 10times per month.

But, they just suspended my sim I subbed in September. Saying I have reached the maximum of 10 shares per month.
My people, is that not deceiving the public and misleading customers?
We really need to fire them on social media and also get the right authorities, to call them to order.

I'm not surprised.
I completely stopped data sharing when I noticed the inconsistent policy in the data plan.
Today they will allow it, tomorrow they will not allow it.

I'm not trying to discourage you but this is a lost battle.
Back to using sme data.

Short answer... NO

sme data is the only available option.
If you can share only 10 times and assuming you can share up to 5GB at a time which is highly unlikely, you have only 50GB to share.
The closest data bundle is 40GB for ₦11,000 which is not an option if you have profit in mind.

I don't know what MTN stands to gain from this new policy.

Just checked and it seems to have been removed from their service.

Only the 1.5TB plan is available.

The plan is back and the price remains unchanged. The 1.5TB plan has increased from ₦150,000 to ₦240,000.
