They believed he died as a result of spiritual attack

So they had to give him a matchet to fight the spiritual battle
As little as I was I knew they were just playing...
Don't say things you don't know.Its real.Its something I've witnessed.

When my dad died

His body was returned to his hometown. Because he was believed to be attacked spiritually by unknown enemies. Yoruba call them Aye (world) and their potent tool is Ofa (invisible Arrow)

So he wasn't taken to the morgue. His brothers, nephews and male cousins laid him on a bed in his old room. Cleaned and dressed him up in his favorite dress. Then I was summoned as one of his two boys and his last child.

I witnessed them putting a matchet that was wrapped with red linen in his hand and chanting incantations that he shouldnt slumber, he must find his killers and cut them down.

I was maybe 9 but I know that they were just being poetic and dramatic, that is personification of a corpse. A dead man can not use a matchet. Only a living person would.
If a spiritual world exists I doubt if he would need a matchete to bring anybody down. I believed that they were confused but they were very serious.

When he was being buried. These same relatives were there and a reverend was officiating and they were reciting the bible passages and singing hymns that he should rest and praying and saying Amen.

The reverend probably didn't know that there was a matchete in the coffin.
grin 😂 sorry but I have to laugh.
Which one baba go do now, he'll seem confused

True, Hence the quote “As above so below”

Ever taken a deep look at computer / Electronics chips and compared it with magic runes and how most major cities look from above. Same concept, even the earth can be patterned to the human anatomy. One scientist did that before.

See there’s a lot we masses are ignorant off and I swear some tech can only have been handed down from aliens. No way humans can come up with some shits.
Wow i never knew about the bolded. Funny thing is, everything that is hidden will come to those who are sensitive enough. I believe all you wrote 100%.

Although soo many lies are pushed down our throat in form of mainstream media, the truth hangs in the air and cannot be hidden. You only need to be on same frequency with the truth to access it. Once your body and mind is on the right frequency, all truth will come to you. Its just like tuning a radio to the right frequency to pick signals.

Another funny thing is, modern day society is anti-everything you need to do to put your mind to the right frequency. It’s discarded as archaic practices while only a few exploits this to the detriment of majority

It’s called Gaia Theory. Don’t believe anything I say o, Pick them one by one and verify. That’s what I expected those quoting me to do instead of arguing with emotions. Condemning what they don’t understand.

Everything we need is inside us. We just need to find ways to access it. And you’re right about us being radios. Unfortunately a lot of people are tuned out/turned off. It’s worse in Africa because we’re just trying to survive, na person we don belleful go dey reason all this stuffs.

Modern day society requires obedient slaves. How african go watch Queen Elizabeths burial and come back to tell me those people don’t practice esoteric stuff, yet they use abrahamic religions to bullshit our own traditional values here. It’s all about control.

The more atheists, more brainwashed religious folks etc the more fragmented we are and easy to control, at the very top those guys work together. Pope & Sultan, Islam & Xtianity, atheist and Fanatics etc are all sides of the same coin.

Who’s rolling the coin?

1. A connection to the dead? That's a bit of a stretch. He probably just figured that by attending the funerals, he could get a free meal and pay his last respects to the dead whom he had had to share his workspace with before that. He is probably aware that one day it will be his turn, so he probably figures he can gather up some good karma for then. undecided

2. It was probably just scented water that was sprayed on the bodies to keep them from drying up. It only seems weird because you are not aware of what he was actually working with and doing. undecided

I once accompanied my dad to the morgue to retrieve the corpse of his brother who was deposited there.

The experience was quite eye-opening. The attendants were a scary bunch of savages. Malhandling corpses and even hitting them without any recourse. One even slapped a female corpse on her butt and said; "Nigba to wa laye, o ni je ki ru mi gbe sunmo eh" meaning when you were alive, you wouldn't have allowed a person like me get closer to you.

Lucky for us, they treated my uncle's corpse with care because my dad had "tipped" them handsomely the day before.

Most of the the men that worked there behaved like lunatics. Some were shirtless and held a bottle of gin (from which they were drinking every now and then). The way and manner in which they malhandle those corpses self....

Now to the moment of truth; when they brought my uncle out, he was quite huge being someone who was huge in his lifetime. Funny enough, he kinda had a smile on him which I found very weird. My dad identified him and did all the necessary settlement before he was released to us.

After that experience, my dad called me and told me two things; firstly, the dead is dead and can't do sh1t. All those stories of corpses attacking somebody is pure fairytale. The only place that one can see them is in the dreams.

Secondly, he made me promise him that his own corpse should never be deposited in a morgue. He said we should bury him immediately he dies.

yes the Egyptians were stupid to bury their Pharoahs with gold and weapons. When treasure hunters come to those tombs to loot the golds, why don't the dead use the machete to fight back? The greatest mass murderers in history go on to build empires or become governors and what not. The dead can't fight. There's no difference between a dead goat and a dead human being. If people that are killed could fight back, why do bandits still exist after slaughtering hundreds of people? Why do USA, UK, Japan etc still exist after their people slaughtered millions of people? If someone use cutlass to cut you down and take over your house, nothing will happen if police don't come and arrest him. You don't even have any spirit inside you, it's just your brain
Tell them...even the cleverest of men, men who have read far and wide, whose brain were preserved upon thier death because of thier extreme intelligence like Albert Einstein and co, maintained that the dead is very dead, and there's nothing like heaven or burning hell fire.

Everyone seems to be focusing their comments on spirits of the dead and the stories of the morgue, i guess this is why youtube is there, even tiktok. You can search some things about the mortuary. You can even visit mortuary attendant and ask them things you heard but dont believe.
I didn't notice anyone saying anything about how their loved ones were embalmed by removing some part of their belly. This i what i saw the day i took my dad for embalming for he was to be taken to the village from the north. I only felt it was necessary but i didn't like it. Sometimes i still think it's a sin to burry a person who died full body by removing a part of their body in other not to make them smell along the journey, i was told some things are also placed in their body then they'll sow it back like nothing happened.. you'll hardly notice it. You'll think its an operation carried out there not knowing their stomach or intestines were removed

So sorry for your sister who died through diabetes. It's like it wasn't properly managed. I'm a Type 1 Diabetic for 14 years now. Life taya me o

DoctorAyukebot:
I wish we had five of your kind on Nairaland.

By the way I'm sorry to learn of the passing away of your wife. Life becomes meaningless for a while when we lose a love one. Some people never fully recover from the shock. I lost a brother several years back to brain problems. Before him I lost a sister to diabetes. She was only 20 years old when she died. Three years ago my mother passed on and four years ago my father.

I don't know which pained most. My sister's demise was the first I lost someone that close to the cold strands of death. I did cry my lungs when the corpse finally arrived home. I never made it to the mortuary cos was in charge of the funeral preparations at home. It's been 20 years since she passed on. I could go for months without missing or thinking about her despite having named my 18 years old daughter after her.

The experience is different with my brother. With Just a year apart we grew up like twins. He was at the hospital with my sister during her last days. When she fell into a diabetic coma, he fell into unconsciousness cos of the shock and only recovered to a depressed mood of psychological breakdown. (Madness)

After four years of psychiatric problems he too succumbed. It's been 16 years since he passed on but a day has never gone by without thinking about him. I did name my thirteen years old son after him. If I had to chose two persons from the world beyond to bring back to life, it would be him and him.

I don't miss my parents that much. My mum was just 59 years old when she passed on. Our relationship had become rocky over the years due to Pentecostal radicalism. I do blame her sometimes for my brother's demise, having refused us from seeking medical help for him on the hypothesis of God having revealed to her that, it was a spiritual issue that needed only prayers.

However it's hard to forget her. She was still a very caring mother and the good days are hard to forget. My father was 72 when he passed on. I don't particularly miss him that much but pity his last days made difficult by my mum who had become radicalized in a strange Pentecostal world of her own.

Daily when I pray I say "God whatever harm would befall my children let it befall me. I don't think I could stand the pain of losing one of them despite my inner strengths. Every iron ore has its melting point though. They are my melting point

But you will have bad dreams sha, if you sleep in the morgue. You know that the last thing you thought about or your mental state of mind at that time is what will come in your dream most times. And the environment of the morgue is certainly what you will think about before you sleep. The only alternative is when you get your mind of it, but its hard.

Some bad dreams can be very damaging to the health of the mind. I hate it.

if you have ever seen a loved one succumb to dementia and forget even his own name and the people he loved you will know how nonsensical the idea of a soul is.
