Any arrangement in Nigeria's opposition that does not have Peter Obi's signature is dead on arrival.

The Obidient movement has stamped its authority with the millions of votes cast on behalf of the man they stand behind.and they will go wherever Peter Obi goes.

The winning ticket as I see it is Obi/Kwankwaso. Atiku need to become a kingmaker.

As for agbadorians, they will cry like bitches in a bid to make you believe anything that is not APC is impossible. An announcement is coming Sooner that they'd expect.
You realise President Tinubu won without Obidients as did Atiku who came second without Obidients, right?

Obidients votes are expendable as the two above have proved. Obidients, in simple terms, are not important enough to pander to.

At the very heights of Obidient popularity, with Edo and Lagos state in their pocket, they couldn't break through President Tinubu or Atiku votes, is it now they don't have those two states that they can be of any consequence?

If you watched the electroal sphere closely, you'd notice that they're planting their Governors in all strategic States with the sole aim of rigging themselves in. Imagine the number of souls that trooped out to vote for APC today in Ondo. Thos goes to show that no amount of hunger can alter the tides in the mind of the average Nijeriyan!

Do you not know that Atiku likes the Janjaweeed political party in power in Nigeria? Atiku was like a founding member of APC. APC has one cardinal objective: getting Islamic Republic of Nigeria.
I thought you were talking about another person who can replace T-Pain in the election but I guess you didn’t know what you were talking about earlier.

So sorry to bother with you.

While Nigerians are busy complaining, let me highlight some important achievements of the Tinubu administration in less than 16 months.
1. No more traffic jams on our roads. Most private cars are now resting in peace.
2. No more generator noise pollution in our neighbourhood. We now enjoy silent nights.
3. Less Nigerians now suffer health issues related to obesity and lack of exercise. You don't need a doctor to tell you that it is healthy to walk.
4. Our hospitals are no longer overcrowded. The hospital bills and the cost of medicines are enough to make people stay in their home and die peacefully.
5. No more overcrowded markets and shopping malls. The prices of essential commodities have made them less essential.
6. Even the japa syndrome has reduced to the barest minimum. The exchange rate has rnsured that cost of visa and airfare are out of reach to most Nigerians.
7. And many more...you can add your own. Tinubu's is an uncommon government.

Stop mentioning Zik together with Awo.

Zik and awo were never in same level politically.

Awo can only pull crowd in South West. Other southerners dont like him as of then. Zik was popular both in the North and South.

Moreover, pulling crowd doesn't mean the residence will abandone their job but the people around the area when he was passing will welcome and hail the politician in question.

If 5% of the population of any state comes out to welcome a politician, which road will he pass? undecided

See this one ooo

Who be my oga ?

I am PDP for life and I will never support the APC.

FYI.... I am from the South South.

Go and tell Peter Obi to humble himself and be VP Candidate to Atiku, if not himself and Atiku Abubakar will lose again.

That is their best path to the Presidency.

If he teams up with Atiku Abubakar they would win

Atiku Abubakar may even die before his 8 years expire and Obi will become president.

The best path the South East got to the Presidency is currently through the PDP and an alliance with a strong northern candidate like Atiku Abubakar.

APC will never nominate a south easterner as VP candidate in 2031..... Just watch

So every south easterner must align with the PDP and the North if they want to smell the Presidency.

First of all, let's be clear, Ahmed Tinubu did not win the 2023 presidential election. You know it, as does every Nigerian, including his CIA handlers. He is not even qualified to run on account of his certificate forgery and criminal conviction.

That being said, Peter Obi left the PDP after the shenanigans of Nyesom Wike and Atiku Abubakar, and in a short 8 months shook the very foundations of politics in Nigeria, dislodging your Lord and Savior, Tinubu from the very Lagos he claimed to own in his wake.

Abuja, a must-win territory under the constitution, also fell into his lap. You see, it is only because Nigeria is a shamelessly corrupt enclave that people like you are allowed to speak.

If the shameless and ignoble Inec or the Supreme Court in-Justices had the integrity to perform their duties and not pander to their personal greed and cowardice, Nigeria would have President Peter Obi today.

Lastly, do not dwell on the belief that the brazen electoral robbery of 2023 will become a mainstay in Nigeria. The PDP also left the stage after a long 16 years of rigging elections like your APC is doing now.

Firstly, not patronising you but excellent use of wording, paragraphs and spacing as well as a lack of abuse, I am impressed and thank you. Are you sure you are an Obidient? I shall now respond paragraph by paragraph.

If President Tinubu didn't win, pray tell, who did and where is their proof? Remember the ones that had proof where giving opportunities at both the Tribunal and Supreme Court. They flunked it.

I agree, Peter Obi gave us all hope with the way he took the last elections by storm. It was nice knowing there was a third way that would ensure APC and PDP no longer will take us the electorate for granted.

Abuja is not a must win territory under any constitution. The people there don't have two heads while the rest of us have one. This has been clarified and doesn't need resuscitating.

At no point did Peter Obi and his charge and bail lawyers ask for judges to deliberate on him having won the elections, they turned up asking for President Tinubu to be disqualified as well as some BS to do with IREV asking for a rerun. Also Peter Obi cannot rejoice over electoral judgements in court when they go his way and complain when they go against him. It's blatant hypocrisy.

I want all previous political office holders since the last time the military handed over to be banned from holding office. The political class have proved they are useless, every single one of them. I am not APC anything.

The last paragraph of your reply gives me great joy and I wish every Nigerian could agree with us.

Now, the other issues you discussed will remain a matter of personal opinion, which you are entitled to, by the way, but not Abuja. Abuja is a constitutional safeguard in the same color as the US Electoral College.

If the US was Nigeria in 2016 Hilary Clinton vs. Donald Trump, I think you would also argue that since Clinton won the popular vote, she should become president even if she fell short of constitutionally required 270 electoral college votes to win.

We must stop repositioning situations to suit our purposes in Nigeria. Not if we hope one day to build strong institutions and a just and equitable society.

And, am I an Obidient?. I am a Nigerian. Nigeria first.

The electoral college system is enshrined in their constitution over there, we don't have Abuja as being special in ours. It's never being and shouldn't because a candidate won it.

Feel free to show me where it is. Thankfully Peter Obi's lawyers foolishly tested it and found out there argument in that regard was totally baseless.

So, the 2023 presidential election was marred by massive irregularities, blatant rigging and brazen non-compliance with extant laws governing the electoral process in Nigeria.

INEC even shut down its portal for over 24 hours due to what it called technical difficulties and glitches. You know what that means.

Now, I am severely limited in the extent to which I can fairly discuss the foregoing with someone who obviously may not have legal training.

The other limitation is that those who have erred on the side of the aforementioned aberration will forever defend their position argumentatively, making any meaningful discussion of the subject a novum.

That being said, the collation, declaration and issuance of a certificate of return to Ahmed Tinubu in this election is contrary to the provisions of Sections 25; 47(2); 60(1), (2), (4) and (5); 62; 64(4)(a) & (b); 70; and 148 of the Electoral Act; Section 38 of the INEC Guidelines and Regulations; Sections 2. 8.4; 2.9.0; and 2.9.1; of the INEC Manual For Election Officials, 2023; and the Judiciary.

And, in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, where the total valid votes cast was 478,923, according to Inec, Ahmed Tinubu, if the APC secured only 90,902 (19.76%) of the votes against Atiku Abubakar's 74,194 (16.13%); and Peter Obi's 281,717 (61.23%).

Your argument, however, is that the people of Abuja do not have two heads to make them superior to other voters. This is a pedestrian rebuttal that, with all due respect, only someone illiterate in constitutional jurisprudence could make.

A constitution is the birth certificate of a nation. It is the organic law, the fons et origo, and the fundamental norm. We have established case law in Nigeria e.g. ROSSEK V. ACB LTD (1993) 8NWLR (PT 312) 382; DAPIALONG V. DARIYE (2007) 8 NWLR (PT 1036) 332.

For clarity and better understanding of the issues, I invite you to read Section 134(2) of the 1999 Constitution if you have not done so, and read it again if you have.

It is very important to note that the law provides for two requirements which are conjunctive and not disjunctive, that is, (a) the candidate must have a majority of the votes cast at the election; and (b) he must have not less than one-fourth of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the States of the Federation AND the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Candidates must meet both conditions of 25% in 24 states and 25% in the FCT, Abuja. One without the other will not work.

To determine whether a candidate must win 25% of 24 states apart from the FCT, Abuja to be declared winner, we must consider the provisions of Section 134 against the background of a common reading of Sections 2(2), 3(1) & (4), 48, 297, 298, 299, 301 and 302 of the 1999 Constitution.

Section 2(2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria states:

"Nigeria shall be a federation composed of States and a Federal Capital Territory."

The section did not just say "States". It added "and the Federal Capital Territory".

While it is true that a literal reading of Section 299 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic shows that the Federal Capital Territory is not a state, from the words "as if it were a state" contained in the provision, Section 229 actually grants the FCT the benefits accruing to states in Nigeria and ensures that it is treated as such with respect to legislative, judicial and executive powers. Section 299 does not confer on the FCT the status of a subdivision of a state for the purposes of Section 134.

Cumulatively, the only logical conclusion is that Sections 134 and 299 are not mutually exclusive or inconsistent. On the contrary, Section 299 actually supports and complements Section 134.

Look, I am not out to litigate a matter that has already been decided, and we are definitely not in a court of law. Ahmed Tinubu is the President today, even if some of us rightly disagree that his fraudulent emergence is constitutional.

My limited contribution in this regard is to nuance the false claim and challenge to the contrary by your camp in an obvious attempt to legitimize a brazen and oppressive attack on our country and constitution.

That those with money and power can compromise the electoral and judicial process to achieve a particular outcome does not make it legal or constitutional, and to support and celebrate this criminality makes the celebrant, in my humble opinion, both criminally culpable and ignorant.

I do not expect you to agree, at least not publicly, and I take special note that you have not been reduced to the usual insults and foolish braggadocio of APC defenders in your engagement so far. Bravo!.

May I ask, are you really one of them? cheesy

Per the bolded, greater minds than me have debated it in a court of law and judges have made their pronouncements.

I myself don't think Abuja or it's residents are any more special or deserving to have more of a say in the determination of a Nigerian president simply by accident of location. Apologies for such a brief riposte to your (admittedly) well presented though lengthy tome.

I am not APC anything, never once voted for them, and I am amazed that you might be an obidient. You are just way too erudite and calm to be.

No need to apologise jàre.

I can see why people mistake me for an APC bod even though some Obidients that are thick in the head refuse to remove the label even after I calmly explain I am not.

I confess I do go after Obidients because I am fed up of their bullying and lack of ability in not being able to hold a conversation (with a non-Obidient) without ensuring it degenerates into them hurling needless abuses and insults. As a result, I confess to making time to give them something to really think about.

Deep down, as you so aptly stated, we all want who will do well for the country. Chikena.
