I was denied a visa and I am trying to reapply now. While trying to reschedule for a new visa appointment the new confirmation number is displaying as invalid Ds-160 confirmation code on the avits payment platform Please who has a way forward with this? |

Chemist4life:Have you previously tried to book an appointment with other Lagos or Abuja, and now because you can’t find date, you then decided to change location? If yes, there’s a way to bypass that |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by Chemist4life: 3:02pm On Nov 16, 2024 |
Gretmang:Nope I have not booked appointments before, just sign up yesterday |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by Gretmang(m): 3:12pm On Nov 16, 2024 |

| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by Chemist4life: 3:14pm On Nov 16, 2024 |
Gretmang:Yes I even type it one by one, still the same..I even opened new ds-160 still saying the same error |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by Ihomon: 4:31pm On Nov 16, 2024 |

| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by osadestiny: 7:37pm On Nov 16, 2024 |
Ihomon:I think this problem has to do with the current DS 160 application numbers. Because I am experiencing the same thing for an application I was filling. But whenever I type in the old Ds-160 number for a previously refused application it worked. I don’t know why the new ds-160 number kept saying "not valid" |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by Gretmang(m): 5:27am On Nov 17, 2024 |
Chemist4life:The last option is to create a new DS-160 application to get a new DS-160 confirmation number if you’ve reached out to AVITS without result. |

Good day everyone Please, I need help. I am going for my J2 appointment next two weeks. In my ds160, I had put 2 months as my intended stay as my job actually gives 4 weeks working days leave and plus the holiday, this may amount to 7 weeks. Now, I just want to spend 4 weeks with my spouse, I have an engagement to attend to in Nigeria on the 5th week. Should I fill a new ds160? And if I do that, will it be hard to link the confirmation number with my avits appointment? I will appreciate your response 🙏. Thank you. |

Hello Please someone should guide me. I have made payments with firstbank, I logged into Avits. I saw the pre-approval, I filled in and submitted but was refused. I logged in again, it's still showing me pre-approval. Please what do I do next |

My visa got denied at Abuja embassy Nov 6 7:30am and I want you guys to check it out and tell me if there is any fault so I can prepare well for my next interview next month … she approved 2 visiting visa right because me . Me: Good morning (smiled while talking) Vo: good morning and how are you today? Me: replied I’m fine and you? And we both exchanged a little smile Vo: so are you married? Me: No, but I have a fiancé which we’re planning to get married as soon as I return Vo: okay, so why Jackson state university? Me: so aside from the political science program and it’s concentration which matches my interest, I discovered an ongoing research work by Dr Phillip at the department on the effect of grassroots movement on policy change in developing countries, moreso this topic resonates with my interest in understanding how local activism can drive political reforms which will be really helpful to Nigeria when I return whereby the citizens can be directly involved in policy making and governance as a whole Vo: so what’s your plan after graduating? Me: after completing my masters degree in political science, I intend to return back to Nigeria to utilize the skills and knowledge I have gained in the US particularly about African politics to create a well organized and reform political ideology here in Nigeria Vo: who is sponsoring you? Me: my Daddy Vo:So have you ever travelled before? Me: No Vo: have your parents travelled before? me: no Vo: so do you have any siblings in the US me: No Then she handed me the blue abi na yellow paper I go call and then she said unfortunately we won’t be approving your visa … please can you tell me where the error is guys and also I actually have a sister in the US but I felt I should say no so they won’t deny me cos she also got a student visa in 2019 and she is already a citizen and a soldier self but I felt if I say yes it will hurt my chances of getting a visa cos she didn’t return back .. but if you guys feel there is another reason for my denial please tell me because I’m preparing for another visa interview in few days and do you think I should say I have a sister there and I hope me saying no before won’t get my visa denied again if I say yes this time around |

1) the reason for choosing the university, appears rehearsed. I think this whole professor reason thing has casted. 2) You graduation plans shows no return of investment. Everyone knows politics and polices in Nigeria is a big joke. Makes no sense why you will return to Nigeria just create a reformed political ideology. Thats not even something you can do alone or even need a masters to do. 3) Denying your sister sealed it. Her records are in their systems, no need to hide it. Showkey1313: |
