The poorer people are, the more prone they are to vote buying
The woman even said her main request for the incoming governor is to solve hunger issues
So it is without doubt that the likeliest beneficiary of vote buying scenario is the APC who can afford to spend govt resources frivolously for the same people they impoverished. As a matter of fact, their Internet lapdogs were busy looking for similarities of vote buying during the US elections in a bid to normalise that anomaly

Ondo state not always lucky to have people of integrity at the helm of it's political affairs,with this white bearded guy steering the ship of my state for the next four years I m not certain that the guy is going to turns the bad situations of the state around

This is a person that has enjoyed the free mandate of his boss,for almost nine months without anything to show as an achievement despite the astronomical increase in the allocation of the state from the federal.

Your assumption is wrong. The governor is eligible to contest for 2 terms. Similar to how Goodluck Jonathan was eligible to contest for 2 terms after taking over from Yaradua in 2010, he won the 2011 pres. election, but lost the 2015 pres. election.

i will take vote buying than ballot snatching 1 million times. It's a problem no doubt, something quite similar to politicians distributing food items and gifts to electorates. If someone collects money to switch his/her candidate of choice, then (s)he will live the consequences. Lets not forget that some collected money although did not change the candidate of their voting choice.

The problem is that most of those selling their votes don't even realise what they are doing.
They are being prodded to see the money as a gift from govt.
And for people who are uneducated, poor and heavily impoverished, how do you convince them that collecting money for their votes is bad?

It's a combination of need from those who are in deprivation to the greed of depravity.
Extremely short sightedness combined with foolish frustration.

There should be general social education so more people are aware of consequences of their actions and inaction.

The natural resources we have should adequately cater for food, shelter, health and technological growth at least within our immediate needs.

it's not an assumption. The law has been changed. The constitution was amended in 2018. He can't do more than a term

Yes there is the combination of deprivation and greed however continuous relevant education will help reduce both ills. Build discipline and integrity.

Improvement to better isn't going to be spontaneous but continuous sincerity in acts and purpose are needed for this journey.

Did anyone tell you those people are jobless? We are talking of poverty due to high cost of living you are speaking of earning a living. Are you by any means blaming the victims of the harsh policies of this govt?

The high cost of living is worse today but has been in Nigeria for at least 3.5 decades. So much underemployment and challenge to sustainable and profitable enterprise.

I am not blaming the victims but the question is who really are the victims. Their actions today will more likely worsen their status as victims. I listened to the winners comments on what he hopes to be remembered for after his tenure and couldn't get any substance. His statements were rather ambiguous and vague.
