Okoye is a useless keeper. May be he prayed for the death of Nwabali father so that he could be in post. I am very angry that we lost at home to lowly rated Rwanda. Very annoying indeed. I hate when this lowly rated team come to our soul to beat us. Boneface should not near the eagles team again. He is not national team materials at all.

I still feel a guadiola will not keep an under-performing Kelechi, ineffective Bashiru, misfiring Boniface on the pitch for that long. A football game is time bound and every second count. Good coaches knows this

The Coach is naturally not a VOODOO DOCTOR !
Is the Coach expected to come into the field and play the football.

Are they not international player?

Is it this way they play football in their own club?

He can only instruct but it is left for the player to heed his instructions.

How committed are the so called international player.

Except something serious is done to revive the spirit and coordination in this Super Eagles team, they can't qualify Nigeria for the 2026 world cup. The team is so shallow. We only have a group of boys playing in Europe who can't compete with amateur players. It's a shame!

Hope Nigerians were not paid to lose this game. Pure complacency in their play, no seriousness, no zeal to win. For how could Rwanda beat us at home with this their third class team?
.. Nigeria has already qualified for the tournament 2025 AFCON..so they were preventing themselves from injury

Nigeria football team need total redress ahead of the afcon

Imagine Rwanda beating Nigeria in their home. Shame shame shame

Osihmen and others will be playing like their life depend on it in their various clubs but they will get home and playing rubbish with less zeal

If a whole Ronaldo can't be bench sometimes in national team for lack of discipline, I don't know why we should keep using guys that aren't committed to SE team

Ikorodu fc

Enugu rangers will beat this Rwanda down but our useless foreign base players couldn't

SA go beat us like small pikin when next they jam us

Very useless keeper. He conceded 4 goals against Sierreleone when we were 4 goals up. It was a special luck on that day, we would have lost the match by 4-5. goals. He made us to be eliminated by Tunisia during the nation cup in Cameroon. Bad luck keeper. This one will hunt him for life. He should not near our national team again.

Something is seriously wrong with Nigeria. I think we should ban national team for 25yrs from all FIFA activities.

Everything has been wrong with the super eagles!
From the players to the coaches to the NFF...none seems to function properly!
If there was a proper panel within the NFF,it will cascade to the coaches and the players!
To placate the citizens,NFF will go into another reactionary path by going to hire another outdated foreign coach due to his skin colour with a hasty mandate to atleast get Nigeria to the semis of the AFCON 2025!

Our professional footballers only perform at their best when playing for their individual club sides.

The moment it's for Nigeria, they play with a lackadaisical attitude as though nothing is at stake.

Yeyenatus dem!

Nigeria's qualification was made possible only through the three free points awarded to the Super Eagles due to the ill-treatment meted out to Nigerian players and officials by the Libyan authorities. That incident turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Mr. Eguavon knows nothing about the technicalities of modern football; it was so obvious today. The time to hire a competent technical manager for the Super Eagles is now. It would be disastrous if Eguavon leads the Super Eagles to Morocco 2025.
Re: Nigeria Vs Rwanda: AFCON 2025 Qualifier (1 - 2) On 18th November 2024 by OKEY30: 7:52pm On Nov 18, 2024
The Super Eagles came out with a plan to win the game, no doubt. However, not all the players were on board with the plan. Dele-Bashiru, for one, didn't perform his role as a player maker, as expected. He didn't bring the intensity Boniface was working and hoping for, probably because he wasn't fit for this game.

Starting from the defence, I think the coach should've stocked with a three man defence. The Super Eagles seem to play more comfortable with that tactics. Ekong was glittery and disappointing, again, just like the game against Benin; he should work on his confidence level. Osho, being new to the team, was quite impressive, but also needs to work on his positioning (he was displaced a number of times). Bruno, is not great at going forward, he should probably stick with remaining at the back to defend. Osayi was impressive in the first half, but suddenly ghosted out few minutes into the second half.

Removing Yusuf eliminated creativity in the midfield and our forwards had to pay for it. Onyedika was everly agile but lacked going forward, and Onyeka contributed nothing following his introduction.

Chukwueze (whom I felt should've started) brought spake to the attack, something that Iheanacho isn't great at. Boniface, was, once again, unfortunate and too desperate to score his first goal. As a result, he missed some really good chances. But his playmaking was overall impressive, better luck to him next time. Simon did all he could with his impressive crosses but the defence was too compact for him to get into the box. Oshimhen and Sadiq were introduced too late in the game and as a result had nothing to offer.

Overall, I'd confess that the team missed the creativity, speed and goal scoring ability of Lookman; he probably would've had a goal or two, considering the fact that the defence wasn't too super.

I left the goalkeeping for last because my analysis may cause some disagreement. Nonetheless, we can all see that Nwabali should remain our first choice and those calling for Okoye would be having a rethink. A goalkeeper's job isn't just to catch the ball. Among other important roles, the goalie should be the leader of his defense; he must learn how to organise them during set pieces— a job Okoye failed at, probably because he's young and is shy of dishing out instructions to his teammates. Nwabali would've done that to prevent the first goal.

I wouldn't totally blame the first goal on Okoye, but he's responsible for the second; poor goalkeeping from him.

Overall, I'll rate their performance 4/10. They should work and improve on this before the world cup qualifiers against this same opponent in March.

Una don start again. We always blame the coaches but no one ever blames NFF or the football organization. Make una dey play. Have the players and coaches been paid for their previous match outing?

If Rhor could be sacked by NFF after garnering 13 points in our group despite the super eagles topping that group and reaching the World Cup playoffs and AFCON.
Eguavoen too should be sacked because he garnered just 11 points even though we top our group and he qualified us for Afcon. huh

The Libyan brouhaha was just a blessing in disguise. If not, we'll be back to calculations to qualify for Afcon.
Shame on the coach!
Nothing to show. It was like a ceremonial match. So, the loss should not be rued with bitterness.

In a competitive match, Rwanda can't beat Nigeria.

Let Eguavoen be!
