I don't this is the national secretariat. I'm guessing this is the Lagos state secretariat and they are evacuating his belongings since Sego is now the new state chairman.

Probably his opps just use the video press him neck over the appeal court ruling. But I don't this this video has anything to do with that appeal court matter

People really need to understand where they are, before you assume Nigeria is US or UK and justice must be served.

If dem kill you, na just one week the story go trend. After that, Tinubu will take away the shine by bringing another level of pain.

I remember arguing with an armed VGN personnel during a football competition when a player of mine got sent off wrongly and it resulted to a serious exchange with the organizers of the event, it was my elder brother who dragged me away before accidental discharge happen. He said, do you know what you're doing at all? It was then I realized how far I've gone and how ugly it would've ended.
My advice to people is to avoid confronting security personnel because the worst can happen and there will be no commensurate justice.
Thank goodness for your brother. Those guys are a disgrace and don’t care. Right or wrong doesn’t exist in their world, the best is to avoid and if you can’t, don’t escalate the situation. The goal should be to reduce the length of confrontation as much as possible. With the Army, you may not suffer a gun shot but you may permanently damage a part of your body.

Well, the general is on camera so something may come out of it. A very very hard maybe here. But in the right hands the man will go viral like the senator. But that is where it will end.

The only time a soldier got in trouble was when naval ratings attached to an admiral beat the daughter of a general in vi in the 2000s. At the time no one knew she was a generals daughter. Likely why the situation escalated if you think about it.

There was another one that Fashola, a sitting governor then, took the matter up.

They beat her because she didn't leave the road for their motorcade to pass.

If not that Fashola jumped in, her case for no even see the light of any day.

It's always easy to say how people should react in these sort of situations when it's not you going through it in real-time.

There's nothing to prove exactly what happened between the army people and the civilian. Maybe the guy was doing agidi, maybe not...these army guys are generally lawless and when they're in that their convoy mood, they don't care if your moving means causing an accident, you just have to get outta their way.

Maybe the guy in question, e steering no dey work as e suppose, and that'd mean he can't get off the road as quickly as other persons did, but the army guys no go wan understand.

The only evidence we have is of the army guys attacking him, I'm not sure how I'd personally react in real-time, and there's no guarantee that begging sef would have saved him from being brutalized either. Maybe na as e prostrate dey beg dem, one of the army guys go use boot match am where no good, then story go con be say the guy for dey guide even as e dey beg. grin

Nothing's guaranteed when dealing with criminals in uniform that are aware they can do anything and get away with it.

Imagine beating a man in the presence of his wife over what's hardly anything...even the wife sef wasn't spared the brutality.

That is the brits legacy to the countries they colonized. The armys role was to put the natives in check. The army in almost any British former colony had the same contempt and the same term - bloody civilian.

The reality is that when faced with forces stronger whether by numbers or superior ammunitions than you, Its better to calm down and appeal to them. Doing strong head most times will make the situation worse, whether its with Herdsmen, UGM, Kidnappers, University cultists, 1m boys, Agbero, or US Police.

Anyone with superior power or firepower holds the ace in most situation. No matter how your head dey hot and you dey vex

God bless you.

I've witnessed where soldiers brutalized a man who was lying on the ground weeping profusely and begging them. So all those talks about that the guy should've begged them or be rolling on the floor to appeal to them I know na just Okpata yarns. They will still assault him because they are not reasonable humans like people are trying to portray them.

When you dey with a gun, a new you comes out. I don travel go Ghana before like 25yrs ago, When Gendarmes stopped us in Togo. We were trying to do "Solidarity forever - We shall always fight our right". The Togo Gendarme just dey shout and cocked his gun. We all remembered our families. All of us gentle, calmed down and paid him to allow us pass

otherwise we will just be manure for the soil of Hilacondji now

I think its just our own military here in Nigeria and few African countries still running Military government that are moving mad.

Ghana that is our close door neighbor, we don't hear much about their military brutality against citizens on the scale we have in Nigeria. Countries like India too are British ex-colony and we no dey hear all these kind bizarre tales of human right abuse from their military

Sometimes its better to call the mad man the groom so he can allow you achieve your aim. If you face such situation, try escape with your life and move on. These soldiers cannot make you but can destroy you and your future

I saw a story on Facebook about a house on Queens avenue in Ikoyi. Ijesha House belonging to S.B Bakare. They said that was the house Obasanjo fled to and hid from coup plotters in February 13 1976.

Some of the comments called him a coward for running to hide as a General. That cowardice has earned him extra 50yrs alive, That cowardice earned him 3 terms as president, he got a lot of money as a coward, he achieved all his goals, nack plenty women, drove the best cars. The non cowards of that same coup have been forgotten. No one even remember their names anymore

This is generally good and reasonable advice, especially in Nigeria, but the point is even this guarantees nothing, most people beg when they face these demons in uniform, but that hardly saves them.

You dont hear 1 because

1. they are only about 1/7th of Nigeria population so for every 1 story they have we are expected to have 7. Then you are not plugged into their online world as you are with Nigeria

Just google police brutality in Ghana

2. Nigerians are more Aluta minded than Ghanaians and other Africans. A Nigerian is more likely to challenge authorities

Nothing guarantees, but one increases your chances. In 10 situations where you drag with military gun carrying men, How many times do you think you get away free and how many times you think will get a casualty

So police brutality is in Ghana on Nigeria's scale but the people who have social media access in Ghana don't bring it to social media?

Why is it that we hear about every other thing happening in Ghana on social media but we have to google to find out about brutality issues?

If u read through my post again without any bias in ur mind , u will see where I clearly stated that "we don't hear much about brutality" . I no talk say e no dey happen at all.

When you beg them that even annoys them more. All those "sorry sir" "sorry sir" even gets them more mad. They see you as a weak fool they can do anything to. I have seen situations where solders and police think they are mad until they met civilians that are equally mad and they behave themselves.
