Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by abubakar123olat: 10:56pm On Nov 17, 2024
Do you mean south Africa consulate use to call the bank to verify bank statement?
Zoey1:
No one on this forum said it was fake.
The applicant should know more than we do about the said statement.
Validity, If it’s duly stamped physically , If the bank responded to DHA, if the website of the bank hasn’t had issues recently to deter them from getting external mails.
Several factors could have been the issue.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by abubakar123olat: 11:11pm On Nov 17, 2024
Bro please are you residing in South Africa , I am coming to volunteer in south Africa but I need some information
080bjaked:
You don't need to submit your passport for CSV anymore.
According to VFS, when the decision is out, you have 6months or so to collect your decision else it will be returned to DHA or embassy.
And yes, you need hotel and flight bookings for CSV applications, POF isn't huge though (5-10k rands equivalent will do) as you must have a job offer to be eligible in the first place.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by abubakar123olat: 11:23pm On Nov 17, 2024
Please I want to Travel to South Africa to volunteer for 6 months , please is there a specific visa type for Volunteer emg Volunteer visa ?

On the vfs portal I only say appointment date for for Volunteering and it's a short stay appointment which is less than 90 day and I am going to volunteer for 6 months so what can I do ?

Secondly if the organization agree to sponsor my feeding, accomadation and also give me monthly stipend which will be stated in the invitation letter did I need to submit a bank statement again ?

Zoey1:
If you stay within the airport through your transit, you don’t need a transit visa.
Yes, you can move within those days.

Obviously it's too early, for a study Visa for that matter.....if you received adjudication in 1 months that's even very fast... go and relax sir and intensify your prayers...

One love.

Yes, you can but by default they won’t give that option except you ask.
And they will charge you for whatever possible if you aren’t smart.

Unfortunately, I’m not an advocate of people going to SOUTH AFRICA.
If it’s not study related and it’s funded.
If you aren’t a business person .
If you aren’t a frequent traveller that does for fun.
Then go else elsewhere.
Everything about this country from the application to what have become so stressful.
So what’s the point about SA, SA.
If you can maybe check other countries .
I’m not an advocate of SA and won’t be in a long time.
Factly they deserve to be on another part of Africa different from Nigeria.
So myopic , shallow yet arrogant set of people.

My friend application was rejected. That his bank didn't respond to the DHA. Are this a new avenue for rejection?

Good morning house,

I have an invitation to attend a conference in SA as a panelist. I iused the DHA eVisa portal and until now, it’s still reading “Awaiting Adjudication outcome “.

But I’m checking on Nairaland (should have checked before I used the online portal 🤦🏽‍♂️) and some persons are saying physical application is usually better.

Is it possible to still go to their office and apply? Or do I wait until I get a response from them? My flight is on 7th Dec., 2024, so I don’t know if I still have the luxury of time.

I will deeply appreciate a response, house.

Hi everyone,

I’m excited to share that my sticker visa has been approved! 🎉 I applied on October 18th via VFS Lagos for a tourist visa (first-time traveler) for myself and my daughter. The decision was made on November 18th, and our passports were dispatched yesterday to my address.

Visa Details:
Validity: 3 months
Entry Type: Multiple entries
Stay Limit: Maximum of 30 days per visit

Documents Submitted:
Introduction letter from my employer
Leave approval letter from my employer
Pay slips (provided by my employer)
Bank reference letter-stamped and signed with date physically
Bank statements (6 months, e-signed and stamped)-there was no physical stamp and signatory on my bank statement
Personal introduction letter
Yellow fever card (obtained from Port Health Lagos)
Flight itinerary and direct hotel reservation
Consent letter for my daughter (minor)
Immunization card....etc
I provided all the requirements listed on their official website to ensure a complete application.

Note: Both my passport and my daughter’s were virgin passports, but the visa was approved within a month of submission. Interestingly, the tracking page on their website does not seem to work. Even after receiving my passport, it still shows “no record found” when I enter my details.

Thank you all for your encouragement and guidance during this process!

Bros, abeg do VFS submission
Atleast you'd stand a higher chance of getting a response before your travel date.

I don’t mind the money.

Bro, update on this application.

DHA replied today and it was rejected for two reasons.
Insufficient funds in bank statement and invalids yellow fever (my yellow fever card is actually valid).

I have been advised to re-apply physically, with another bank statement, since it’s a fully-funded invitation. Going to do that asap.

Hi everyone, I’m applying for a South African visa and would love some advice. For the successful applicants, how did you handle flight bookings for your South African visa application? Did you book actual flights, use dummy tickets (and if so, where do you get them), or is there another method you use? Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much.

There's no embassy that would request that you purchase a flight ✈️ ticket without the visa

Hence, only your reservation is needed, not paid ticket

Good evening brothers and sisters,

Please I need assistance, urgently.

I was recently invited to speak at a Conference at University of Pretoria on 10-11 December. I am a first timer and I don't know how to go about the visa application. The organisers of the Conference are sponsoring everything, hence I have the following documents:

1. Invitation letter to the embassy by the University stating clearly my purpose of visit and sponsorship
2. Passport (virgin)
3. Employer's Introduction letter
4. Yellow card
5. Flight reservation
6. Hotel reservation

Please, advice me on how and where to apply that would be fast, considering the nearness of the Conference date.

Thank you as I anticipate an assistance.

Adjudication outcome received came more than 12 hours ago but till now, no letter .
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by dubaiboy1: 8:06am On Nov 22, 2024
I think SA is just messing around .... At first , I was denied for uncertified bank statement , I reapplied and now it is the yellow fever card ? Lol.

I would advise anyone to go for physical submission instead of DHA.... Just my own opinion.
