Good evening everyone,

Please I have a question to ask the house and i will appreciate any input.

I have just missed the most recent healthcare draw by 3 points, (my score was 460) (cut off 463)

me principal applicant medical dr 30yrs, ilets L8.5, R8,W7,S7.5 overall 8
wife 28 BSC ilets S7.5,L7.5,R6.5,W 6.5 overall 7

is it possible for my wife to take any certificate course to boost our score?
is writing ILETS again advisablehuh
Hi Doc, I think our seasoned @GraciousWords has given you the right advise.
Sincerely, the first thing that came to my head was "why didn't you apply for a remark of your writing when the window was still open?" It most likely would have returned with a 7.5 thereby allowing you attain CLB 10. Nonetheless, either of you should consider rewriting. You do not need any additional certificate. It's basically useless except a PhD.

Then again, at the back of my mind, I am thinking, are you sure the cut-off for subsequent healthcare draws won't drop especially if they carry out the subsequent draws more frequently than they have done earlier this year?

Unfortunately, with SINP, your educational qualification must match your work experience.

Hello House, Please I need insights into a question I have concerning Saskatchewan Provincial Stream.

Current Situation: I am looking to apply to Saskatchewan Nominee Program(Express Entry Stream). I meet all the requirement to qualify to apply for EOI to the province and upon doing the Pre evaluation I have a 66 points.

However there is a requirement that states that my NOC Code must match my Post Secondary Studies. My BSc and Msc is in Agricultural science but I have been working as a Operation Risk Analyst in a FinTech.

1) Please is it possible to use Certifications Instead to back up my Choice of NOC?
2) If yes, I can use certification, Please I will appreciate recommendations on certifications & Certification bodies that I can use which will be recognized by WES.

I will appreciate any advise/ Insight I can get to best handle this.

Interesting how quickly the healthcare draws have risen in a year. It was expected though.
With the reduction in PR numbers for next year, except healthcare is protected from cuts, I'd expect it to rise further. They may look at tinkering with the number of occupational codes accepted for healthcare. Even if its protected, it's only a matter of time before people pivot into that pathway.

Good Morning Everyone.
Trust we’re all doing well?

Please I would like to make an inquiry concerning the police clearance certificate.
I’m fully aware that we can register online for that and pay the fees but my question now is how long does it take to get the PCC document itself after paying the fees online because I’ve researched and not seeing anything so I want ask from people that might have paid online on here to know how long it took to get theirs.

Secondly, if I’m to go to their office in Lagos, would it be faster compared to the online one?

Which is the most preferred option considering time.

All your responses will be appreciated.

Thank you🙏

I am of the opinion that no one should be discouraged by the recent health draw cut-off or any category draws cut off score for that matter. Also, don't have a feeling the score will continue to go higher. When the category draws were introduced last year June, health draw score started from a staggering 474 and then 463, 431, 422, 445 and the most recent 463. It definitely could become more competitive as time goes on.

However, If your profile is above 4 months validity just wait it out and hope for a better draw next time because going by past draw, health draw happens like every 3-5 months isshh. In the mean time, Do all you can to improve your score if possible.

By
1. Exclude your spouse from your profile if they are dropping some points off you.
2. Claim point for your spouse academics and language test if you have not done that already.
3. Rewrite or remark your IELTS test if you feel you can still claim some extra points (your spouse can rewrite too).
4. If you have a relative, also consider exploring that option to gain extra 15 points.
5. You can consider writing a french test if you have been preparing for it. Please be sure you are ready as we all know the fee is not cheap.
6. Extra certification can only work for people working on long term travelling plan i.e they are in the planning and preparation stage. If you already have an active profile and it not like you have the certificate ready for evaluation do not bother because it will take you like 2 year plus to get that.
7. You can also start applying to specify provinces. Mind you it comes at a cost too.
8. You should also strongly accepting NOI from provinces if they come your way.
9. If you have previously declined a provincial nomination thinking your score was high enough to get an ITA, I'll advise you go and withdraw your current profile and create another one to enable you receive another NOI from that province in their subsequent draws. E.g Ontario.

Remember draws cut off are unstable. It can surely be your turn next time. The more frequent the draws are, the more chances the scores will drop.

Good luck.

Hello please I have a question, if one has a sibling who entered the country like two months ago on a PR visa
Can I claim the person even though they’ve only spent 2monthshuh
Then
What if you don’t want to claim the person because it might be detrimental to the CRS points range you’re targeting (I.e a specific NOI from a province) will you be penalized for not claiming your siblinghuh
Will it affect my application??

Everything won't take up to 3 business days. I registered and paid online for mine on a Saturday, asked to come for Biometrics the following Monday. Decided to go for it on Tuesday as the SMS came in late afternoon on Monday. Did the biometrics and got my PCC the evening of that same Tuesday.

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by MayorOfEdmonton: 7:00pm On Nov 21, 2024
Hey,

You can claim points off a sibling as soon as they finish their landing formalities and COPR is stamped(I.e same day they landed). By the time you get ITA they would have proof of residence(Utility bill/PR Card).

Your 2nd question is tricky, because it means you will have to select NO to the question “do you have a sibling who is a Canada Citizen or PR”. & selecting NO will be misrepresentation/falsifying the truth. Besides when you get ITA and start filling your profile you’ll have to fill the said PR siblings and country of residence(Canada). May be best to be truthful all the way IMO.
Perhaps others who did it can contribute.

Hello guys, I need some help please. A friend of mine just got ITA and his POF is not yet complete but will be soon. But even at that it hasn’t been in his account for long so he’s scared they might reject his application coz of it. Would it be better for him to use gift deed instead and if so how should he go about it? Much Thanks.

Also, does the gift deed negatively impact the application in anyway? coz I’ve been hearing that it might make your application be denied.

I'm guessing what you mean by NOI targeting is that PNPs sometimes have a range (330 to 430 for example) and you won't get picked when your CRS is above that range even if the "draw" is for your NOC.

This is just a personal opinion: if you do decide not to claim sibling points, I think you can indicate "NO" to that question, meaning no 15 CRS points extra. When you submit your application you would add an LOE to explain that you do have a sibling but do not want to claim points from them....this way you are not hiding your sibling, just stating that you don't need their CRS advantage. Ask this person: https://www.nairaland.com/4933819/living-canada-life-canadian-immigrant/710#129424265

Note that under the family section of your application you must still indicate your parents and all your siblings (their dates of birth, current location/address etc.) - so it'll be abundantly clear that you're not trying to hide your sibling who's in Canada.

Edit: another opinion from canadavisa (https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/how-not-to-claim-siblings-points-to-avoid-documentation.496670/) says:
"For everyone else who stumbles upon this thread looking the for the answer:
when submitting your application, choose, YES I have a sibling and add information about your sibling.
Write an LOE that you don't wish to claim points for siblings. In the same page, I also made a simple calculation, that I scored, for example 450 points, but minus 15 points because I don't wish to claim sibling points, my score is 435. And the cut off for the round is 434.
Then I made this LOE as PDF and uploaded it to where the sibling documents were to be attached. It was accepted and we faced no problems
."

Goodluck!

I got ITA in the last Healthcare draw. Praise God. I’m coming to ask my questions but make una help me praise God first. My birthday is coming up in 4 days time meaning I would have dropped 5 points for age.

God is indeed great. Have been in the pool for 4 months.

Thanks for your response. From what I read on page 1, I believe the gift deed will be the best for him. But some question arises.
1. The money was deposited to his account in 4/5 lump sums. So Should he do gift deed for every respective lump sum received, or just one for all of them?
. I saw that statement of account should be added to the gift deed, does that mean all the accounts he has or just the one with the POF?
3. Also there was a mention of bank reference letter. What exactly is that?

For those looking for a short certification to do within a month or two to add a second certificate for a "two or more certificate", here are things to know about CIMA Ba1-ba4 certificate level:

1. It's an on-demand exam, that is; it can be taken at any time of the year provided the individual taking it is ready.
2. You see your result immediately after each paper and you can order for WES evaluation after 72hrs of taking the last paper.
3. WES evaluation give a 1yr Canadian degree equivalent.
4. Pass mark is 100 (over 150)
5. Questions are objective and mostly repetitive from the exam practice kit.
6. You're only going to be tested on the introductory level of business, economics and briefly accounting.
7. Anyone can sit and pass the exam without stress regardless of not having accounting background.
8. Best study material to use are from Kaplan publisher. You can reach out_08106337690 for a comprehensive study material and registration guide. This include study text and exam practice kit.
9. It's a 4 paper exam (Ba1-ba4). 70% theoretical and questions are objective.
10. All of this info are the same with ACCA f1-f3. Except that ACCA is a 3 paper exam and has more of accounting than CIMA.
