He qualified the team...

Didn't he? That is the required results. Because you can't always win all the games.

I am here stating my opinion and you are quoting me to tell me to respect myself.

If you have a contrary view why don't you go ahead and state it. Which one is respect yourself?

Remove the logs from your eyes...

Nothing person no go see for NL!
Go give him your country coaching job now, not Nigeria him go coach, person wey bring shame on this nation imagine Rwanda, eyimba of ABA will flog Rwanda. Wey come disgrace eguafon like that, make we look for better coach abeg.

Why Eguavoen should continue as Super Eagles coach after AFCON 2025 qualifies

Nigeria was on a down ward fall before the beginning of the AFCON 2025 qualifies

In fact the team was so poor that no good coach wants to take over the team

But the return of Eguavoen has seen the team qualifying with 2 games to spare. The team has suddenly become a team to recon with.
In 6 match in this AFCON 2025 Qualifier we had

3 Wins
2 Draw
1 loss

The loss was a dead rubber game
But unfortunately it was at home which has made it very worrisome for some people. Some are even calling for the coach to quit.

But if we reason properly
Any coach can lose a game as long as he wins the tournament.

And to the match against Rwanda proper, I think the likes of Kelechi, Boniface ànd even Maduka failed to make a big claim to be considered for first team action
How can Maduka conceived 2 goal under 5 minutes.

All the same overall The team is in good shape. Eguavoen has qualified us and should lead the team to AFCON 2025.

Looking at Austin Eguavoen's record as the Super Eagles manager so far.

Matches in charge: 22
Won: 15
Draw: 3
Lost: 4
Goals scored: 42

It isn't a bad record. He isn't a bad coach. Just that lost 3 very important matches: 2006 World Cup Qualifiers, 2006 Nations Cup Semi- Final, and 2022 World Cup Qualifiers...

However, I like him to continue with the Super Eagles. That will be perfect. He has done well but needs to improve and earn the conference of the fans.

We should give him the team on permanent bases to build on what has been achieved and make corrections where necessary.

To bring a new coach of any sort now is going back to the stating block.
It will make us completely lose out from the world cup and we may not even perform at the AFCON.

Nigeria just finished 2nd in the just concluded AFcon, is that what you call "downward fall" and for coaches not wanting the super eagles job that's a big lie, the NFF has been unable to agree to their salary and nothing else. Eguavon losing to Rwanda at home should tell you all you need to know about him.

Give him the job permanently and watch him start misbehaving, that's one thing with Nigerian coaches.
But if he can qualify the team for the world cup then there's no debating, the job will be his.
With this current performance do you really think he will qualify us

You all are always quick to call for coach head... Do you see the way those players play.. very nonchalant

At the end of the day a coach can do tactics and all but na player dey execute the game plan
Even pep won't succeed in Nigeria, because those players no serious at all
Make una leave Eguaveon abeg

It's either you did not watch how those players played the last match or you wan just talk...

Even their fellow players on the bench they shout, they were angry with them
While Eguaveon needs to improve in other areas... Those players no really send una or anybody

And that still lies with the coach, the players were complacent because they had already qualified, it's the job of the coach to let the team know that losing at home isn't a good precedent regardless of the qualification status. He could have also given the fringe players a go in the first team and told them that their place in the first team depends on their performance.

No I don't. These players see him as a local coach and have no respect for him, these are players that are being coached by the best coaches in the world in their respective club sides.

They respected José Peseiro and always gave 100% in every match, I doubt Eguaveon would have gotten pass the 2nd round at Afcon.
Re: Give Eguavoen Super Eagles Job – Adepoju Tells NFF by frog12: 12:07pm On Nov 21, 2024
the main issue is the politics involved. they can find good technical local coach if dem open am

owobokiri:
Eguavoen is below average. He has struggled in all his matches and the world cup qualifiers will expose him. Next match is almost 4 months away, and those are critical world cup qualifiers. Get a new good manager now. Unfortunately the new NFA chairman seem to be out of sort and does not know his left from his right. It is time to stop all these quota system influences in football administration in Nigeria.

As it stands, we are between a rock and a hard place.

And considering the limited timeframe before the commencement of AFCON, it's going to be an herculean task finding another coach (whether local or foreign) who can swiftly gel with the team for optimum results.

If only we can get at least two friendly matches with this team and the current coach, so we can see how best to iron out our creases, e for really help.
You made a valid point....
Good luck to them....

He doesn't want to coach the Super Eagles, he prefers coaching the Olympic team or fFlying Eagles, he has said so himself at interviews.

I know why this is but I will leave you to draw your own conclusions.
Toh he knows best I guess.

We both know he can't so why deny Nigeria the chance of making it to the next world cup? Have you forgotten what happened the last time when they gambled on hm? Siasia is the only local coach, at the. moment, that had proved his mettle at that stage
Re: Give Eguavoen Super Eagles Job – Adepoju Tells NFF by bennie1980(m): 9:44am On Nov 22, 2024
Nigeria must get a seasoned foreign coach from rntyr Super Eagles
Re: Give Eguavoen Super Eagles Job – Adepoju Tells NFF by AdetolaTemi: 11:04am On Nov 22, 2024
Eguavoen don try small sha, but make we no deceive ourselves. The team dey lack proper game plan, and e no go fit take us far for AFCON. If NFF wan keep am, na serious improvement we go need be crypto friendly in Nigeria. If not, abeg look for better coach, this no be trial and error matter.
