Abati is too big for carrying this type of orchestrated lies as a journalist without investigation. In my village I have a medical doctor from osun state that have large farm and hospital with many landed properties and houses.
He came for the youth service and refused to go. Has lived in my village for over 25 years and even was given a chieftancy title for his contribution to the community. No tribe welcomes travellers like the igbos. I only understand that other tribes fears competition hence staying in the comfort of their regions. Lands is also very expensive in the south east because they don't have enough like other tribes.

The part these pseudo elder statesman thinks can be hidden is that the same TOS Benson along with many other Yoruba youths went to the United States solely on scholarship from Nnamdi Azikiwe! He met that his wife over there and married her on their return. For the record, she was a medical doctor, so his in-laws were educated and exposed. Where & when did TOS Benson now give him the gist that he wasn’t given land because of his tribe?? 🤷🏽

Some families in Igboland have land that they are not allowed to sell to 'outsiders' and by 'outsiders', I mean people who aren't family members. This includes other Igbos and anyone else not from their family.
