I am happy that Ekpa has been arrested. I badly want him to be extradited but unfortunately Nigeria has always shot itself on the foot by having a corrupt and inept judicial system, and an executive government with poor human rights record. Unfortunately, Simon Ekpa will use that lacuna that against Nigeria to make a good case against his extradition and he will get away with his atrocities.

If Nigeria had always obeyed it own human right laws, other countries would have trusted it with extraditing fugitives..

Ekpa will fight tooth and nail against extradition and would most likely succeed, because Nigeria has a terrible record with how it treats it's political crime suspects. The Nnamdi Kanu case where over 100 adjournments has been done to keep him in DSS custody (not even the Correctional facility) will be in the fore of Ekpa's argument against Nigeria, and he will likely win.

Ekpa will likely be set free in Finland or at worse go to one of the Scandinavian prisons that looks like hotels and continue his shenanigans. Too bad that Nigeria's bad records will work against bringing Ekpa to justice.

If I was a betting man, he may not get extradited if Trump is sworn in as President. Now, if we are truly serious, we need to send our top intelligence and defense men to Finland right away. On arrival, we need with those at the Embassy, and seek high level collaboration, then put the President on the phone with the Finnish President so this is given the high priority it deserves. If at the end of it all, Finland does not extradite, sanction and close its Nigeria Embassy and seize all communication...including closing Nigeria Embassy in Finland. US and most countries would not tolerate this nonsense.

Many people want that guy but it's not by killing everyone in the east that can happen. Their leaders starting with Local government chairmen don't want Biafra and that makes them nothing but nuisance distrusting the peace of the society. If Igbos want Biafra, they should just signal themselves and leave every other parts of Nigeria today. All the world news channels will carry the news and they can give their reason. But Ekpa and Kanu using the jobless youth's to destroy the east while at the same time hundreds of the Easter people trooping to SouthWest daily is unacceptable.

I fully support Simon Ekpa’s arrest and extradition to Nigeria, where he should face justice and be locked up just like Nnamdi Kanu and others. This might bring some sense to the Igbos and force them to reflect on the harm these individuals have caused. Every Igbo person should realize that neither Kanu nor Ekpa truly means well for the Igbo people.

They either serve as agents, likely funded by hidden interests determined to destroy the Igbo from within, or they are completely unhinged. Those who follow them can only be described as victims of a mass hysteria of ignorance and misplaced loyalty.

It’s hard to believe that people actually support the harm Simon Ekpa has caused and the potential destruction he still has the ability to bring. While Kanu remains in detention, instead of protesting against those responsible for his imprisonment, some Igbos are turning against one another. If Ekpa is allowed to continue, he will only deepen the division, and the tragic cycle of Igbos killing themselves will persist.

It raises questions about whether the so-called “unknown gunmen” are truly Igbos or if this chaos is the result of external forces infiltrating the Biafra struggle to tarnish the image of the Igbos. The once-proud narrative of “the wise men from the East” seems to be fading. Is this all part of a deliberate conspiracy to discredit the Igbo people in Nigeria and on the global stage? These are critical issues that demand urgent attention and introspection.

I will advocate for Kanu to be released as he is integral to exposing some of the criminal elements sponsored to cause mayhem in the region under the flag of IPOB. If you recall NK himself said sit at home has stopped that anyone who is enforcing it is not from IPOB, which lent credence to the fact that what is happening in the South east is likely a false flag operation. So the only was things can be restored is to release NK, bit extract some commitments from him via dialogue. This is a standard carrot and stick approach.
