Its all over the streets, workplaces, markets, moror parks, public buses, relaxation centers, bars..Nigerians cant wait to kick Tinubu out. It will be a protest vote, massive disgrace to the regime. The few votes he will get would be the ones who collect money. The only alternative is to rig ; that too will be difficult against the collective decision of the people.

You are saying this because you are sensible. Majority of Nigerians are fools and except the opposition parties can work closely together, Tinubu will win again.

If you watch his actions from day 1, this is a man who from the get go only intends to spend 1 term.

Many people assume he will seek a second term…..I don’t think he will. He has achieved his ambition and he is taken some crucial irreversible structural decisions in 18 months the likes of which those with 8 yrs knew had to be done but did not have the balls to execute.

Subsidy removal, currency floatation, LG reforms, VAT reforms. These are irreversible structural changes more meaningful and long lasting than any president before him and yet he is only 18 months in office. If you look at all the presidents before him, which of them has made such seismic structural changes? Yet he is only 18months in office, so you ask why? Some (subsidy and forex) were necessitated by what he met on ground but I also feel he is doing these things either because he knows he only has 1 term or he is doing them early in the hope the benefits manifest before his second term.

To me this is a man with the mindset of “ I will do what I feel needs to be done in my 1st term because that is all I am going to get”. Tinubu is a student of history, he knows every southern president has faced opposition from the North for a second term. Obasanjo had to physically go down on his knees and beg Atiku (aka the North) before he got his second term and hence the way he treated Atiku once he got his second term. If not for the incompetence of the opposition Tinubu knows he would never have been president. Everything Tinubu is doing suggests a man in a hurry to cement his place in history, which suggests to me he may not be planning for a second term. The only thing he hasn’t done is restructure the country politically but he still has 2 and a half years.

I think the joke may be on those who think Tinubu wants a second term. Tinubu is a political grandmaster, the greatest this country has ever produced, bar none! He understands the political implications of his actions and increasingly they don’t suggest a man who cares about his second term. Actions such as the appointment of Bwala at the angst of his loyalists like Onakpasa or insisting the VAT bill should be debated in the National Assembly despite opposition from some Northern governors suggest he doesn’t care and is not projecting a second term.

The one thing I know, the next president won’t be Atiku or Obi. I suspect he is prepared to take hard decisions and take the fall and is lining up someone to take over from him in 2027.

Already, Tinubu is the best president Nigeria has ever had. Many of you will insult me for saying so but the “best presidents” or “great presidents” are not called such until decades after they leave office. That is usually when the beneficial effects of their policies are felt. Everybody talks today about Awolowo but they never tell you the masses were not happy with the taxes he imposed on farmers etc to pay for “free” education or the sheds he built as classrooms. People talk today about FDR and the “new deal”, but they forget he seized people’s gold and imposed hardships on the people to pay for it. Today bar Reagan, he is undoubtedly Americas most celebrated modern day president but at the time he was called a communist and a facist. If you know America, you will know being called a communist is the greatest of insults!!

Tinubu is operating like a man looking to secure his place in history, not a man seeking a second term.

2027 election is between APC vs nigerians..it's nigerians that are suffering the hunger, hardship and complaining of the hunger and hardship, high costs of living, inflation...not the PDP governors, leaders and politicians ..the PDP leaders, politicians are already rich and wealthy so the hunger and hardship does not affect them they are not complaining...so nigerians for you to get out of this hunger, hardship, inflation, high costs of living, poverty you are facing now..2027 election is between you and APC.. APC vs nigerians.. simple
Unfortunately Nigerians are docile..baba go complete him 8 years and we go still dey lament walai
