The concern of course is if there is an emergency landing.

What surprises me more is that in this day and age, the US/NATO still relies on jets to deliver powerful and accurate strikes.

That only works for countries with no monitoring systems in place. The moment those jets are lifted into the air, countries like Russia & China begin to track them.
