I remember during my internship in a hospital in the east, I was always running into troubles with nurses whenever I'm on duty and preventing them from looting the hospital's pharmacy.

Everybody keeps complaining about how bad the country is but when given small opportunity they indulge in the worst corrupt practices.

For things to change in this country, there's need for people to change their mindsets and start doing things right.

And for these ones that have been arrested, I hope the governor goes further to ensure they're prosecuted and punished accordingly to serve as deterrent to others.

Yes even in Ebonyi state the Izzi are widely known by every proper Ebonyi man, to be meek and humble, some of Ebonyi people take it lower by calling the Izzi "timid", abusing his humility. Sorry to use that word cos I'm also Ebonyian.

Yes I'm from Ebonyi state, Ngbo in particular. Some of my actions on here are intentional, deliberate and more of politics.

I hate the abuse of Ebonyi people especially Abakaliki bloc, by ndi Igbo especially Anambra bloc. I hate it with passion, reason why at times I bring up topics to embarrass them before the world and bring down their self-esteem or confidence. Which is what they have successfully done to the Ebonyi man.

You see me on Ebonyi threads defending the interest of Ebonyi state, you never see me opening the shame of Ebonyi because I'm patriotic to the state, you see me publicising any unappealing news of Anambra because they call us inferior Igbos, Fulani, backward people et cetera. So I take the fight to them; solely to the Anambras.

Do you see me fighting Imo and Abia here? Nope. Enugu ostracises us "socially" too with Northerner or Hausa slogan, but not to the extent which Anambra people do. So it was in my knowledge that, if I take the progenitor and originator of it all; Anambra to a fight, Enugu people will easily fall in line and respect themselves. So let's say I went to grab the devil by the horn and leave his archangels, if I defeat the devil, his arch-angels will automatically scamper away and accord me respect.

As for Nwifuru, he's in the middle of the sea and looking for allies in order to win second term, but the allies he brought close to himself to ensure he wins 2nd term are not allowing his welfare policies and programs to trickle down to the benefit of the common Ebonyian. They steal half-way everything Nwifuru approves for the ordinary man. Many projects Nwifuru disbursed money for, are left un-started, the ones which were started have almost all been left and abandoned and equipment have all left the project site.

Senator Sam Egwu was given 50million for a project in my Senatorial zone, the road is not done, several months since award of the sum, till now as I speak!

But he can't say much or act too aggressive because he still needs the support of these local strong men to win re-election.

This is what I would have advised him.

Give the contracts to reputable companies to ensure their completion for the good of the common man, who are the actual voters.

Occasionally give raw cash or other favors to the henchmen, occasionally, in a way to have them accessible towards electioneering time. That way, both the common man, and stakeholders win.

Just on this video clip .... I can campaign for this Governor. I picked on the video basically to see how the man was caught ... not knowing it was the Governor ... I thought he was a Police detective ... the one in charge... and I was impressed on cool and composed he was ... his patience .. asking relevant questions ... so why on point ... and seemed to be knowledgeable about the stolen items ... how he later called in the buyers to verify price etc.. he was so passionate about what he was saying. It was only in the comments did I realize he is the Governor! How many other Governors would've been so observant ... since he noticed the truck there for four days ...and to stop and investigate? Whoever is in charge of that facility is in deep trouble .... how can he not know? He needs to go for either complicity or negligence. What about the Police chief?... doesn't he make observations? ....the guy seems to be really trying. Hopefully the people can see he really is

I remember Ngbo community because I served in Effium. Ngbo is between Effium and the Ohaukwu secretariat along that travelling road. I heard stories about how Ngbo people were hostile and that they killed a corper, hence the reason corpers were no longer posted there.

That said, I believe Ebonyi has a huge potential that is left untapped. If I was the governor, I would prioritize investment in human capital development and rice agronomy for a start, and then watch the start start unleashing it's beastly potential for success and economic prosperity. One thing I admire an Ebonyi man for is hardwork. Throughout my stay, I didn't see one single lazy Ebonyi man. Those guys are hustlers -both the women and men. But they always need to invest in peace building and inter-communal relations. I'm a yoruba though

Your analysis are point accurate.

There were incidents of such clashes in the past. But to the best of my knowledge that's all in the past as there's more relative peace and less restiveness. Especially since the inception of this newest administration led by Gov. Nwifuru. He's done his best to carry everybody along and also douse any communal clashes and encourage indigenous people to drop hostility.

There is peace to a very large extent across Ebonyi now and as a matter of fact, Ebonyi now is the only state in South East that doesn't observe Monday sit at Home. That tells you how we've accorded peace a chance for some years now. However I'd note that corpers service has not entirely been restored in Ngbo, and I'll make a case for it when I go for community dialogue this Christmas. It may not happen so soon because we'll first prepare the psych of our people to become more receptive, provide accommodations and sources of water, before we write to NYSC, Ebonyi State Secretariat to notify them for inspection of our community and dialogue with us.

I regret any unpleasant experience you may have had during your service year in the Salt of the Nation. I note your advice and I'm proud to say the Governor is working hard on that as I'm a beneficiary of his scholarship for a Masters degree programme in Pharmacy. More are being done for basic education and children in terms of recruitment of more teachers currently as I speak, as well as election of modern structures in 3 basic schools per local government area of the state. Gradually, we will increase the capacity.

Thank you once again for your advice.

It's terribly bad that stealing is becoming a culture to many. The State is making medical items available to the society but a handful member of the society is siphoning them.

It is such a cycle!
