Burkina Faso Dumps Colonial Legal Attire... Nigeria When? by dapoRead(op):
Burkina Faso can do fashion revolutions as well as ideological ones! Black gowns and white wigs - the traditional attire of the country’s court magistrates and clerks since colonial times - are out. Legal-sector officials will now wear a locally-sourced and produced garment, made from the traditional Faso Dan Fani fabric. Not only will this support the economy, it’s another example of Africans reshaping their institutions in accordance with their roots. Another win for the Sahel country!

Why do we like carrying last like this in geopolitics? We should be laying examples for others to follow but no. I would wish we dump this old, jaundiced, corrupt, British common law system and acquire a truly African Atire that represents the first law enforcement agent of Olodumare. Esu attire is red and black.

This Nigerian-British capitalist judiciary is flawed and its synonym is corruption.

Traore is Thomas Sankara reborn and he is pragmatic in his revolutionary approach. No real change comes without some level of madness.

Changing cloth without changing minds will lead to nowhere. The problem of His country goes farther then mad actions.

I think there should have been a systematic well calculated approach.
Populism doesn't always translate to meaningful progressive impactful and lasting actions.

Sankara changed their name from Upper Volta to Burkina Faso (Land of the Great and honest).

The French killed Sankara and imposed Campoare, who messed up everything for almost 30 years.

But the people regrouped and unleashed another revolution and here we have Traore, who wasn't even there when Sankara reigned supreme. A testament to the doggedness of a people desperate to succeed.

In Nigeria, Traores mates are busy shouting "emilokan" for a dead brain, who they hope will help them out of their misery.

Lol.. Its all in the mindset. You choose to be a pessimistic piece of shit, I don't.

Some of us will rather adjust our sail than waste all day whining and complaining about the turbulent waves. If I'm not in a position to change things, why whine all day like a loser?

Thanks for this brilliant suggestion

Hope this can move fast the way our anthem was changed in the Senate

What's the process for getting your suggestion to the Senate?

Does Nigeria need to dump the colonial legacies? If Nigeria does, what would be the fallback? Nigeria is multi-ethnic and with large distrust/cultural disparity.

Nigeria? Never. Their problem is deeper than you think.

I support it, if true.

I will buy one yard of aso ofi for Folake4u to use and sew her new attire.

Great. I don't take such people seriously. Even Singapore had to adopt English while Lee Kwan Yeu was conquering the world.

Even Xi of China wears a western suit and see where China is at today. When they don't have ideas to change their country they start playing to the gallery.

Good points

That's why the issues will need to be discussed, considering the factors you mentioned and others (cultural disparities, multi-ethinicity, etc)

After all, not all the languages in Nigeria are represented on some of our currency notes. But some arrangement was worked out

If we had to change our national anthem, what stops some other issues from being revisited?

Thanks for your input.

Exactly.
I can't wrap my head around such pedestrian behavior. It smacks of ignorance. How does such impulsive action drive national rebirth, patriotism and development?
Critical issues demanding urgent attention awaits and this infantile distraction is all he could pull.

Pure shit.
