trendyprettygir:I think your radiator is clogged. Consider changing it if you have not. Also, your thermostat (if still intact) seems stuck closed. |

ikdaddy01:Thank you bro, I learnt my lesson already, like a fellow here said he abides by - never parks under any tree, especially during rainy season - so I will always abide by going forward. |

There are many well maintained Nigerian used vehicles, and some are even in better condition than foreign used ones. Ensure you carry out a thorough inspection, and keep in mind that quality vehicles like these don't come as cheap as the poorly maintained ones. Ernesthugo: |

trendyprettygir:Snap the temp gauge b4 starting the car. Snap after the car has been running for 20 mins Snap after the ac has been on for 5 minutes Dud you buy a brand new radiator or used one? Did you buy a brand new radiator cap when you replaced radiator? Place a small paper in front of your condenser when your fan is on, does it stick to the condenser/ radiator? Answers to these and pictures requested will guide in providing solution. |

trendyprettygir:Change your radiator cap, get a good one. check that your radiator filler neck is not damaged on the inside… if there’re cuts on the inside you might have to change the radiator filler. |

Hi guys. Please I need some assistance My Honda Accord 2008 4plug. Had an accident front part hit another vehicle. It had the following damage Condenser Radiator Grill Bumper One full light I replaced all and the car was good But now as soon as I turn on ignition 2 seconds later D starts blinking without starting the engine Also VSA and ABS light are now on. All these are not there before the accident I try to scan ABS and the 3 different machine I tried cannot connect to it I try scanning gear and it brought out U0122 The car gear selects fine and it has been like that for 2 months now. I have read the two front abs sensor with meter they seems to be ok I have also change gear oil. Please what more can I try. My Rewire said it’s a board order the steering that is damage. I would like clarification before he tampers with it. |

fbtowner:Don't do It. Check ground connection bolts under the bonnet, you will most likely see a loose or missing screw that is behind the front bumper on the driver and passenger side. I guess it's by the passenger side with wires not tightened properly, or hanging loosely or wires cut off due to the crash. |

kingreign:Thanks for your response. If you are talking about the image I attached to this message then I just checked that today and the two wires are properly bolted to the body, out of curiosity I even unscrewed it and screw it back. Do you know if there could be another ground wire somewhere else Car drives just fine. I am just trying to get blinking D to stop and vsa abs to off I only check ground wire on the passenger side as shown in the picture, please is there another one on driver side too?

kingreign:I have checked today and it’s also well bolted Picture below however I found one wire laying around where the honk is, it caught my attention when it sparked on making contact with the iron behind the bumper, I traced it and I realize it came from around same place as the ground wire I checked earlier. I have attached the picture also. That’s the only free wire I was able to fine laying around

trendyprettygir:Check for blockages in all the pipes including the pipes in and out of the heater matrix. I believe the engine thermostat is not present as we speak but if present, remove and test its operation. Bleed the coolant thoroughly and start the engine. Allow bubbles to escape while engine is on idle the cover with the radiator cap. Observe and feedback. |

Hello house, I have an 2006 Corolla that is having oil leakages. I have changed the valve cover seal and crankshaft seals solving the leakages there but I discovered that there is a small leakage at the back, doing further investigation I discovered that the leakages is from the Timing Chain Tensioner as shown in the pictures. I ask by mechanic about it and he has no idea what I'm saying (I don't think he has done a job like that before). Has anybody been able to fix the leakage from the timing chain tensioner before? I saw on Youtube that the rubber O-ring will be changed and the crankshaft will have to be turned in a certain way to unhook and extend the tensioner back after fixing a new rubber ring. I don't want to give this job to somebody that has no idea what he's doing. Pls I will like to be directed to any good mechanic (in Lagos mainland) that can do it without messing up my chain timing.
