Hello I am a new member of this forum. I recently graduated from UNN with a GPA in 3.4 in Pure and Industrial Chemistry and I am interested in applying for my PhD in Chemistry for Fall 2025. I am preparing to take the GRE test and also searching for some schools online but I am open to receiving any recommendations for schools that offer funding for PhD in Chemistry for Fall 2025. Is the gpa in UNN on the scale of 4 or 5? By recently graduated, do you mean Masters or Undergrad?

Brief Summary
Good evening sir, please per the documents mentioned above, I had initially completed a Ds 160 on my Cote d Ivoire application and saw somewhere on the thread that there is no need to refill another Ds 160 even after I changed it to Abuja due to not meeting the conditions of being able to expedite in Cote d ivoire.

Also at the time I couldn't proceed with the Ds 160, when I wanted to pay my visa, despite submitting the Cote D Ivoire application.

Now, the new one I had created for my Nigerian profile which didn't go before, was the one I used to process (paid) my visa application after the errors cleared.

I have also paid my sevis fee.

With that out of the way, please I want to know whether I need to fill out my Ds 160 with this new number again.

Sir ,what about those that follow this steps but still on preapproval stage...I even paid sevis fees before the MRV, i uploaded sign copy of my 1-20 but under have you made specific travel plans I chose NO and i specific the date under intended date of arrival..any suggestions for people like me...my resumption date is 13th January

Now I've created an account on AVITS I am adding my Reference number to a prompt asking if I paid my MRV fees before 26th Aug, I selected yes. Yet it still keeps saying Receipt not found for *****my reference number I got from GTB. Please what do I do. My payment isn't adding up to let me select an appointment date

i have a similar issue, opened a ticket on avits for over 1 month now...emailed the consulate with evidence of my payment, yet nothing has been done till date, am stuck. seems the americans want to frustrate us into making another payment , which is soooooo unfair.

pls anyone that has a solution to this should help us

Hello.

1. You are good to go if you have based your initial DS 160 on Lagos but you eventually picked Abuja location . However, all the US embassy instructions and guidelines (read attached docu) only talk about inter-city not international.

2. In your own case you should be fine since the Nigeria ds 160 eventually went through. Nevertheless, there are disadvantages in putting a round peg in a square hole when going for US visa interview. Some consular who are looking for a flimsy excuse can use it against you.

I messaged the embassies but I have been directed to use the navigator and all to get proper feedback.

Does it mean I can go ahead and submit (I have already completed filling it anyways), or am I to leave it till the date of the interview, since they will likely access the DS 160?

I want to thank Kingscollege80s for this information. For those waiting please follow the information and send to the mails also generate a ticket. I don't know which worked for me. Also there are dates available even this week for Lagos till 24th December. Thank you for all the help rendered.

There are dates available this week till 24th December. I sent the mail and created another ticket yesterday morning around 8am
