⚡The UK government has promised to assist a British mercenary who was fighting for the Zelensky regime and who has been taken prisoner by the Russian army in the Kursk region. “I have been updated about that development in the last couple of days. Of course, we will do all that we can to offer this UK national all the support we can,” Foreign Secretary David Lammy said today. |

Botragelad:You wish. It's all in your head. This year alone Putin and Russian officials have met with leaders of China, India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Singapore, Turkey, Chad, Guinea Bissau, North Korea, Ethiopia, Brazil, Mexico, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Cuba, Gabon, Algeria, Libya, Nicaragua, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Vietnam, Thailand, Turkey, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Syria, Myanmar, Laos, South Africa, Belarus, Serbia, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Australia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Central African Republic, Senegal, Gambia, Ivory Coast, Peru, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Paraguay, Chile, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Cambodia, Brunei, Sri Lanka, Oman, Yemen. More than half of this list visited Moscow. 10 of the top 20 largest economies in the world are in this list. This list alone accounts for more than 6 billion people in the world. How many world leaders have Joe Biden met this year? I bet you can count all of them on one hand. Just visit the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs page from the beginning of this year and see for yourself. Russia have held military exercises with Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, India, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Iran. If this is what pariah & isolation means then God please I want to be a pariah till I die. |

⚡U.S. to deploy missile units to Japan islands in Taiwan contingency The U.S. military will set up temporary bases along Japan's southwestern Nansei island (aka Ryukyu Islands) chain and the Philippines to deploy missile units in the event of a Taiwan contingency, sources familiar with Japan-U.S. relations said. The deployment of the missile units will be incorporated in the first joint operation plan for the United States and Japan to cope with a contingency involving Taiwan and China, which regards the self-ruled island as its own, to be formulated in December. The U.S. Marine Littoral Regiment, which possesses a multiple-launch High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, will be deployed along the island chain stretching from the Japanese prefectures of Kagoshima and Okinawa toward Taiwan, according to the sources. |

WrriterNg:Lol with all these happening and you think China and India won't panic? You think they won't throw their full support to Russia, knowing that they'll be next? If Russia falls, then China & India are toast. They'll never let that happen. |

WrriterNg:It's not about meeting with random leaders for the show and media talks, what relationship are you building and with who? 😂 That's very important. Meeting with a bunch of leaders doesn't necessarily mean you're not a pariah state. I mean, even North Korea's got some mates, but that don't make them a respected member of the international community, does it? And let's not forget, that a lot of those countries you mentioned are either authoritarian regimes or nations with questionable human rights records. So, yeah, Russia might be buddies with them, but that's not exactly something to brag about. Lol And what's with the military exercises? You think holding a few war games with some countries is evidence of Russia's influence and power? Please, that's just a desperate attempt to look relevant. By the way, just because Joe Biden might not have met with as many world leaders as Putin doesn't mean the US is isolated. The US has got its own interests and priorities, and it don't need to be buddies with every Tom, Dick, and Harry to be a global player!😂 So, no, I don't think bein' a pariah state is something to aspire to, and I definitely don't think Russia's diplomatic efforts are evidence of their influence and power. That's just a load of rubbish. You have a lot of learning to do! |

| Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by Botragelad: 10:10am On Nov 26, 2024 |
ariesbull:Let's talk about these "tiny countries". Lol Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, and others, they might not be the biggest countries in the world, but they're all sovereign nations with their own governments, And they're all part of NATO because they want to be, not because they're bein' forced into it. Are you aware of that? NATO's got 32 member countries, all working together to promote stability and security in the North Atlantic area. That's not random, that's a proper alliance unlike Russia's confusion. Lol There's what we call democracy, individual liberty, and the rule of law, these are the principles that NATO's founded on. So, if you're gonna insult NATO, you're insulting those values too. Now, I know you're probably thinking, "But what about Russia?" Haha . Well, let me tell you, Russia might have a lot of nuclear weapons like they claim and a big army, but that don't make them right. They're the ones who've been aggressing against their neighbors, annexing Crimea, invaded Ukraine. That's the behavior of a bully. What have you got to say about that? 🤷♂️ |

No wonder we have so many empty heads on Nairaland. If you can't understand simple English, how do you intend to understand complex global politics marred in deep expressions that can't be understood merely by reading the lines. Such a pity!!! |

⚡On 26 November 2024, a US Navy P-8A Poseidon aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait, prompting China to deploy forces to monitor it. China criticised the US for trying to "mislead" the international community over Taiwan and the strait. Taiwan and the US consider the strait to be international waters. The US Navy's 7th Fleet said that flying through international airspace demonstrates the US commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific. China's military condemned the flight as 'public hype' and urged the US to maintain regional peace. |

⚡Pentagon Report Exposes F-35 Failures: Reliability, Stealth, and Weaponry Under Scrutiny A declassified Pentagon report on the F-35 fighter jet, the most expensive weapons program in U.S. history, highlights severe shortcomings in combat readiness and reliability after six years of testing. Issues include frequent maintenance delays, malfunctioning weaponry, and unresolved vulnerabilities in cyber defense. The U.S. Director of Operational Test and Evaluation stated in a redacted version of the February report that "the overall reliability, maintainability, and availability of the U.S. fleet remains below service expectations." The document was obtained by the Washington-based Project on Government Oversight (POGO) through a Freedom of Information Act request and is set to be released on Thursday. According to POGO’s Defense Information Director, Greg Williams, the report reveals significant flaws that could prompt the Trump administration to demand a full review of the program. Williams noted, "After 18 years, the F-35 remains plagued by maintenance issues, unreliable stealth capabilities, and guns that fail to shoot accurately." The report underscores the challenges facing the U.S. military as it struggles to justify the immense costs of a project that has yet to meet operational expectations. |

Gbadebo19:E dor really dey clear say na coconut head you get and it's a shame Shebi your papa fall from heaven single handledly? Abi na your grand parent na born am? What about your grand parents, they fell from heaven by themselves too? There's no invention in this would that can be single handledly "attributed" to a single nation. Every invention is build upon past and past inventors So it's very foolish to try to claim an invention without attributions to past and current works of inventors. That's one reason why there's references link in research works So Coconut head, it's a collaborative work |

obedience4:Lots of Russian companies aren't accepted in the international market like Kaspersky, VK, and so on. - it would have to take lots of rebranding and most importantly disassociation from anything Russia to shine in the international sphere If they aren't branded as national threat, it would be spying and so on. Telegram and some few others are ven lucky sef Don't you see what's happening to Chinese DJI? What about what happened to Hawaie - Chinese tech company? |

Bitcoin is going crazy, I suspect that some nations or some billionaires are artificially propping it up. Or perhaps people are rushing into bitcoin because of global instability. Indeed, the increase in value of the bitcoin might be due to it becoming a preferred trading currency to dollar or any other currency. WrriterNg: |
