There is definitely a foreign or international group sponsoring the attacks of rural communities across the country, especially in the north.
These attacks have been designed to create a food scarcity crisis in the country.
The federal government should see these attacks as an act of war against the general population of Nigeria.

I don't think that Ekpa was being used by the Nigerian government, and I don't know why this view is popular amongst some of you. I just think he is way too ready to confront and so may overeach with his style sometimes. Nothing in his behavior suggests to me that he is a pawn of the Nigerian government . After all he was in support of them ESN too. I do agree with you though that many violent characters were intentionally domiciled in the South East by the authorities to help muddle things up. I also suspect the jail breaks and all that were all planned.

I don't see the governor of this benue as being active or ready to protect the people he govern.. military or police can't do it alone cause before them get to those villages , the deed has been done .. the best thing is what everyone have being saying, I see no reason he fails to summon all those local villages head for meeting, let them talk to their youth whose Willing to join either vigilante/JTF , provide some stipend for them and watch how it will reduce ..

You said, the police are overwhelmed. I quite agreed to some extent...The Police are close to the people than the military. It is the duty of the police to provide necessary information to the military, if they can't tackle such crisis .
