Hi guys good day, trust you are all good? Please just something that is bothering me, I am 30 yrs old but I have not gone to any tertiary institution but I have the desire to enroll as soon as forms are out.

But the issue now is I don't know wether I can serve after I graduate since I will be more than 30 upon graduation, I read somewhere that I will be likely be issued an exemption certificate.

My question now's is if I was given an exemption certificate I want to know how strong the exemption certificate is when compared to the discharge certificate, in the job market how do they look the exemption certificate?

Baba go school ohh,high-end jobs just need a certificate from Nysc that's all.But the major difference is the experience you get in Nysc can be added on your c.v while most organizations consider that too

High demand tech skill acquisition is very important this is d mistake I did buy pursuing degree over that and now I landed is a meagre salary job 😭

Both same, exemption is for above 30yrs graduates, while discharge will be given to those that graduated at less than 30yrs and proceed to serve.
Any job that requires an NYSC cert, you are allowed to present either of the two

Anyway, both are the same. Exemption and the certificate. In case you decided to look for work with the exemption, there's a general believe that you probably was working and did part time schooling or combining school and work together.....

Ask those who are telling you school is scam if they'll send their children to school or not.

Wait. At 30+ fresh graduate without work experience. You still dey talk of job market. Which job market?. The same market wey dey ask for 23yrs old with masters degree and 5yrs experience? Dey play.

To your question, It's same. Only difference is that you will miss the fun of service. Go to school to be educated, not because of job market(at your age).

There is advantage for those below30. it shows you are below 30.
If you are over 30 and not lying about it, then an exemption is good. If you are over 30 and pretending to be 26, then you need a discharge certificate.

Nothing much. Just the service experience, contacts you may have made (which may or may not even be significant later in life) and the age difference.

So just go your school. Any job that you age group is qualified for will accept the exemption same way they will accept the discharge.
