Where can I learn the Tech Skill?

And do you have passion using computer??

But the issue now is I don't know wether I can serve after I graduate since I will be more than 30 upon graduation, I read somewhere that I will be likely be issued an exemption certificate.

My question now's is if I was given an exemption certificate I want to know how strong the exemption certificate is when compared to the discharge certificate, in the job market how do they look the exemption certificate?

The same importance attached to the NYSC Certificate is the same attached to the Exemption Certificate. Non is more important than the other.

My certificates isn't putting food on my table but my skills are

It is just for the company to be covered by he laws.

Even 15 year olds are already choosing skills over university certificate and you're a 30 year old planning to spend money and time to obtain a certificate?
Why not invest that money and time in learning a skill that will make you money.
With a skill, especially an IT skill, you make money in your own terms.
With a certificate, your chances of getting a job are less than 10%.
Anyway, your money... your time.

Just a piece of paper showing you served or was exempted, that's all... It adds nothing to you career-wise. If you leave the shores of this country, you'd know the paper adds nothing to you.

Your knowledge and skills are what will always be the major stuff... nobody cares about NYSC certificate and I think it should be scrapped once and for all. The scheme has outlived its usefulness.

All are for the trash can.

They have no value. To go and get apprenticed to a dealer of a fast moving product for some years and start yours when you might have finished learning the ropes is far better than any education you get in Nigeria.

Take that to the bank.

Lol. You don see Nigeria finish. But you are largely correct. I spent at least 7 years in the university. What did I get in return? Nothing. It's even the skill I learnt before starting the university that's sustaining me now. Too bad. I won't repeat same mistake with my children.

Big 4 accounting firms and some top companies only accept discharge certificate. Once they see exemption certificate, they will throw your CV inside dustbin. Exemption certificate is for those who couldn't go to school on time or studied part time, and they dont want that.

Wrong advice.
School (university) degree can still be very useful even if you learn a high-in-demand tech skill.
In the long run, a good university degree could help you to be more marketable for higher posts and opportunities.
You can be going to school and still be learning the tech skills, if possible.

In Nigeria school na scam, especially the way education is in Nigeria.

If I give birth to my children,all of them are going to attend a technical school from the start,then all of them must have Atleast one tech skill.

Anyone who doesn't follow this path as it is now in Nigeria,will be carrying file from office to office.

About the question asked,both exemption letter and NYSC discharge certificate Carry's same weight, although both are useless and irrelevant in today's world.

To your question, It's same. Only difference is that you will miss the fun of service. Go to school to be educated, not because of job market(at your age).

Only your response pointed out the disadvantage. If I see someone with an exemption certificate, I'm almost not likely to hire them for entry level roles as I know with certainty that they are over 30. Most businesses are looking for early to mid twenties for entry level

That passion is very important. A lot of people tried to dive into IT post Covid, primarily because, according to "them", it's the "new oil". Now wey market don cold and remote jobs are difficult to get, we don dey separate the wheat from the chaff.
