I made a post in political section and within seconds an automatic comment was made by a strange user with name Tundegan, the speed at which this comment was added to my post was fishy as it appears this user is a bot. To confirm my curiosity, after the comment then 10 likes was mysteriously added to this user's comment, you can see screenshot below as at the time of making this post.... I decided to check the user profile and noticed that this user has not added a single thread since the account was created in 2022.... I've also observed that these mischievous accounts, fake likes seem to be a platformwide issue as it appears it is added mainly to users comments that are praising Tinubu, APC or any government policies.... it is obvious that the like button has been weaponized and deployed as part of propaganda tool to sway readers opinion on this platform.... I hope the mods are not behind this as it is unfortunate if this mischievous trend is allowed to continue to dent the integrity of Nairaland's user engagement especially on political threads.... Who are those behind these bot accounts and comment fake likes....?

OP Don't bother there were many monikers created by the same person on that date. You see that Tor idiot, he is most likely the owners of all those monikers. You will observe the same thing in "Salewa97". One check is that they never respond to mentions. Just one comment per post |

It appears you are right as content of the comments from these accounts seem to follow the same pattern meaning it is from the same group of people or person.... Zionmdde: |

Tinubu presidency is a big win for Nigeria. APC should continue to do the good work and let the people see the dividends of democracy. God bless Nigeria. |

APC is a well organized party. They are doing their best to counter the misinformation spread by the opposition. |

The OP's observation is very correct. The likes and the comments are just too suspicious. We are not against people praising the government or Tinubu but let it be genuine and not through fake accounts |

The OP is probably one of those who believe that the likes on their posts should be a function of the number of people they have on their follow list. |

When and why are you guys not moving to Kedu app? Kedu app is the first ethnocentric social media app that was created strictly for a particular ethnic group The owner and founder of that app created that app in frustration after failing to convince Seun to sell nairaland to him. If you hate NL so much and hate every none obidient and those opposed to your IPOB antics, why not just leave already ? |

Sad And while the site was going astray, Seun was looking for igbos validation on twitter, such a pathetic being ...... How can a YORUBAman be looking for acceptance among igbos, thats belittling. Hope he learnt his lessons sha |

Lol you think I care about likes....? I already knew that there are a group of people actively gaming the engagements tools on this platform. For making this post exposing the fake likes and my other posts against Tinubu's government, I don't even expect to see any likes on any of my posts so I don't care about likes..... It is left for the mods to address the issue of bot accounts and fake likes if they want, I only made this post as I do not like to to see these bot comments and likes on my thread..... Anither563: |

Absolutely correct 💯, nairaland is loosing it's status as an unbiased Media platform to become an APC propaganda tool |

@helinues you are culpable over the fake likes and bots ravaging the platform as you're part of those derailing discussions on this platform.... Each time I create a thread here I do so in order to interact with real humans and not bots. The fact that you are encouraging this shows that you know more about those behind it..... helinues: |

Yes APC agents are working overtime here as users of the platform can no longer easily interact with humans, these bot accounts floods threads with funny comments and generate fake likes on comments to derail the thread..... it's ridiculous.... Justnation: |
