I made a post in political section and within seconds an automatic comment was made by a strange user with name Tundegan, the speed at which this comment was added to my post was fishy as it appears this user is a bot. To confirm my curiosity, after the comment then 10 likes was mysteriously added to this user's comment, you can see screenshot below as at the time of making this post.... I decided to check the user profile and noticed that this user has not added a single thread since the account was created in 2022.... I've also observed that these mischievous accounts, fake likes seem to be a platformwide issue as it appears it is added mainly to users comments that are praising Tinubu, APC or any government policies.... it is obvious that the like button has been weaponized and deployed as part of propaganda tool to sway readers opinion on this platform.... I hope the mods are not behind this as it is unfortunate if this mischievous trend is allowed to continue to dent the integrity of Nairaland's user engagement especially on political threads.... Who are those behind these bot accounts and comment fake likes....?

Tundegan user account has not created any thread since 2022 but has made over 100 comments on other users threads.....

Don't bother there were many monikers created by the same person on that date. You see that Tor idiot, he is most likely the owners of all those monikers. You will observe the same thing in "Salewa97".

One check is that they never respond to mentions. Just one comment per post

The OP's observation is very correct.

The likes and the comments are just too suspicious.

We are not against people praising the government or Tinubu but let it be genuine and not through fake accounts

Lol you think I care about likes....? I already knew that there are a group of people actively gaming the engagements tools on this platform. For making this post exposing the fake likes and my other posts against Tinubu's government, I don't even expect to see any likes on any of my posts so I don't care about likes..... It is left for the mods to address the issue of bot accounts and fake likes if they want, I only made this post as I do not like to to see these bot comments and likes on my thread.....

Yes APC agents are working overtime here as users of the platform can no longer easily interact with humans, these bot accounts floods threads with funny comments and generate fake likes on comments to derail the thread..... it's ridiculous....
