XGhost:It's actually not difficult to get a good driver. With proper training anyone can get those figures. There are guys on this thread right now that will go toe to toe with anything I earn. All they needed was a realignment of positioning and strategy. I posted how to make 100k daily on telegram. Yesterday someone did 98k. |

Djdamian:120k or more weekly... Are this people making this much? |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by CheerfulGiver: 12:08pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
Shimmaa:Yes. But I'll never advise any driver to pay more than 65k to anyone right now. The 65k comes with a lot of conditions that MUST be favourable to the driver. If they can't be met, investor can kick rocks. |

CheerfulGiver:Well, considering how expensive cars are now, 65k isn't too much to demand as weekly returns. |

Shimmaa:From the discussions here, it seems that drivers are earning an average net income of 800k to 1 million. So I think they are doing pretty well for themselves. |

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Djdamian(m): 12:21pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
CheerfulGiver:I’m willing to buy any car within the 6-7 million range, provided I can be guaranteed a weekly remittance of 150k. Don’t you think that’s fair, considering drivers are reportedly netting an average of 1 million monthly? |

Pearl1910:I'm really being tempted to come back. . Closed shop and sold all vehicles around March when drivers insisted on 25k. Managing it from PH will be quite challenging though. Ksmart027 please what's the going rate for rentals now? |

CheerfulGiver:At the bolded, sometimes I feel bad why people don't see things the way I do, then I just accept the fact that they are very slow naturally and that's what makes the difference. |

Shimmaa:Yes. you can, as a car owner. Most of the comments you're seeing here are from drivers who are the owners driving themselves. There's no way you go drive a week and not net 100k+ (I speak for Lagos State). Much respect, boss. |

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 12:48pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
Djdamian:No it is not fair. The price of the car doesn't matter. Fares are the same. Reason why u should stick to the cheapest possible car so u can get ROI easy and fast. We have had this discussion before. U can't use the excuse of my car is 7m to demand 100k weekly. Profitable Rent is currently between 40k to 60k if u like buy Rolls Royce, na u sabi. The investors complaining the business isn't profitable are the ones without information and updates who are still collecting 25-30k rent. |

Pearl1910:You sabi say things I like to read. Nothing concerns rider or ehailing companies with the price of car. If you like buy Mercedes Benz GLE 350, you go still drag with riders of 2600. So investors should rather refrain from such mindset and target reality base on current realities. Nobody will give you 100k weekly anywhere in Naija driving Uber. Except na the owner dey buy the fuel. Even move 6 days pay no even reach 60k with their artificial vehicle espresso. |

Itsrm:At the time drivers were pushing for 25k I'd said it like some of us are saying now, they were either doing it wrong out of genuine ignorance or they were inept or straight up lying about the job being unprofitable while they were cashing out with landlord's car. This matter didn't start now that fuel is 1k, it's been since the fulani man's time. It's the same old MO, nothing new |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Djdamian(m): 1:30pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
Pearl1910:I disagree with you on certain points. The soundness and efficiency of a car are crucial to its profitability in the e-hailing business. This is why you rarely see V8 or V6 vehicles used for this purpose. As an investor, I prioritize purchasing a reliable, high-quality vehicle, even at a higher cost, to avoid issues that could hinder a driver from meeting their targets. Moreover, expecting an investor to accept 60k weekly while knowing that a driver makes 1 million net monthly seems unreasonable. Under such terms, it would take the investor over two and a half years just to recover their capital, let alone make a profit. Meanwhile, the driver, within the same period, could earn over 18 million. Or am I getting it all wrong cos it's not making sense to me |

XGhost:I asked for 30k and all three of them refused. I was surprised. It was as if they did a meeting and agreed to say no thinking I'll continue to take 25k. I just withdrew, sold and never looked back until now that I'm starting to reconsider. |

Pearl1910:I am sympathetic to the fact they are naturally slow. The problem is insisting on having an opinion on something above your mental capacity. You don't see me discussing programming with programmers. I'm on the road everyday. You're not. I break norms, you dont. How you think you know more than me is amazing. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by CheerfulGiver: 2:21pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
Djdamian:Are you charging me extra money a week because I found a way to make your payment steady while taking home more? It's like punishing a child for being exceptionally brilliant above expectations. You should be in charge of making the car road worthy for a driver willing to pay you 65k weekly. If you want 150k weekly maybe you just leave the money on the bank and see if it makes you 150k sitting there. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by CheerfulGiver: 2:24pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
Djdamian:No Hire purchase No long term lease Short term 3 months lease at a time. If you're both satisfied with the initial relationship, you sign another. Win win. If a driver isn't on their toes, they tend not to be serious. If you know that continued income is based on performance, it has a different effect on the psyche. Ehailing has evolved, it has left people on this thread behind because they take advice from stupid people here. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by CheerfulGiver: 2:27pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
Shimmaa:Cars are expensive, parts are expensive. The only way to break even is look to buy a non abused car used in Nigeria. Then refurbish it with OEM parts. I can't stress that enough. Anyone that says he knows better should go ahead. The people that failed to listen to me earlier are still complaining of the same things years later. History repeats itself |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Shimmaa: 2:28pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
Djdamian:Shouldn't you also put other things into consideration, the 1m isn't what they take home. You should factor other expenses into that 1m as well. Based on some people's claim I've been seeing here, they gross 100k with 25k fuel and pay commission of 25k. That's expense of 50% of their gross earnings, their take home from 1m monthly earnings will be 500k. If they are paying 240k monthly out of the 500k to their supposed partners, isn't that fair enough, except their partners wants a huge chunk of their earnings... |

Glithronix:The major difference between a car owner and a renter is just a psychological difference. If a car owner nets 200k weekly, and a rental guy nets 200k weekly, apart from the remittance the rental guy pays, what's the difference between the two? |
