Yoruba people wan form attache by force but she cleared them once, she's not in for that.

You needed to see her tweets during the endsars saga, you would understand why she's distancing herself from Nigeria.

Nigeria showed her "pepe".
So, one random woman don turn Yoruba people?

I understand the part you insist she's not an immigrant since she's a citizen by birth but her parents are, which makes a second generation immigrant.
That said, you described it well. Sometimes we Africans are the cause of our own problems. We're here barking at her for her anti-immigration stance without even trying to understand her and where she's coming from.
Meanwhile in the same Africa, there's almost no African country with any cogent immigration path. We are too steeped in ethnocentrism to agree on anything for our common good but we're here fighting someone who wants to act as gatekeeper for the society she feels blessed to belong in
Kemi like myself was born in England simply because our parents were there studying at the time. They never emigrated to England. My parents returned to Nigeria after their studies and never went back. They are not immigrants and therefore their offsprings are not second generation immigrants. You can’t be second generation of there is no 1st generation.

I know I am being pedantic but a true second generation would have had certain characteristics. 1) Britain became home for your parents 2) you spent your formative years especially primary secondary school there and assimilated the culture from day 1 etc. I don’t think you can classify those of us who were born in England and returned home with their parents but later went back as “second generation”. You will find we don’t have the same characteristics as those whose parents settled in England and were raised in England.

The best classification is the ambiguous “British born” There are certain characteristics that come with second generation immigrants that neither her nor many of us in her situation have. For example I have never called myself or felt British and I can bet you Kemi only started to ”feel” British when she decided to join politics.

The fact that the political base she sought out to represent when she started out in politics was the Nigerian community tells you that is where her roots truly are. She just ditched her Nigerianess because it was politically expedient. If she were 2nd generation her base would have been whites and Jamaicans because at the time she was growing up there were few Nigerians in England.

Well I am not disappointed, you backed up your initial long gibberish writeup with a dumb shorter one.
Which is easier to manage, a group of 10 or a group of 100 people?
This is not about blaming immigrants or about preventing Nigerians (obviously your fear), but allowing the right immigrants in by limiting the numbers and conducting a thorough check on who is allowed into your country.
Go read what Poland and Hungary are doing which is working for them, Germany is regretting opening its borders and is deporting people anyhow. Not every immigration policy is about Nigerians, that is your fear
Her parents are immigrants, not her. what generation is irrelevant.
LOL....My fear ? I am a Nigerian. I also have a few passports.(First world countries).
I remain proudly Nigerian. I don't mistake my passport privileges to me not being an immigrant.
I would never bad mouth Nigerians till i die. My ancestors were buried in various places within Nigerian just like Kemi's.
If they were cherry picking immigrants when kemi's parent went to giver birth to her in UK. They wouldn't have picked them.
They don't discriminate when looting politicians, loot millions to pour into the UK economy via real estate.
When they do the Visa interview, is that not enough back ground check ?
What else do they want in a background check ? Stool sample ? or DNA ?
Conducting a thorough check is dog whistle for discrimination and racism.
Sometimes its good to think independent of these politicians. God gave you your own brain. Dont use Kemi's brain to decide between good and Bad.

She’s sold her heritage completely but come to think of it Uk is one of the most accommodating country have ever seen, I don’t think any African country to be that accommodating. You will find every race in every corners of Uk yet everyone is not disturbed to flourish in their own pace

uhmm hmm grin Nigerian with few passports cheesy cheesy its well.
we could say that for so many things, if there was no internet there would be no Nairaland. But this is not the case, her parents immigrated she got their papers so let it be.
Hypothetically, if 300 million people passed the background check and are eligible to be granted a visa to the UK, should they all be given?
I have been saying this long before I knew there was someone called Kemi. it's the same reason we had Ghana must go, every country has its limit, and if the UK said they are nearing theirs respect it.

She is desperate to be relevant. When they say people sell their soul for success. You are looking at a real life example. In her mind she is going to be the first black woman to be prime minister.
If you tell her to betray her parents.....she wont even think twice.
Her last 10 grandparents were probably buried in Nigeria.
She is now the spokesperson for the most racist white conservative group in Britain.
The UK whites did an excellent job brainwashing her, She might end up committing suicide after realizing she was used and dumped to the gutters she belongs, Sadly, blacks all over UK will be waiting to spit on her grave. omo ale jati jati ni kemi.

you are not being honest here or you are just ignorant. We got most of our debt canceled during OBJ and got more canceled after, we get interest-free loans every now and then, and we got looted funds from past leaders too but what happened to it?
Begging is another reason other nations don't take us seriously, a wealthy country that won't stop begging and borrowing.
Countries with far less resources have done better (read about Singapore). Honestly, you sound like someone that hasn't been to the airport, and you claim to have passports of 1st world countries. lol
Stop looking at Nigeria as a charity case, when we know we have enough to fix it.

I can’t stand Kemi but she is not an immigrant, neither were her parents. She is a a Bonafide British citizen by birth.

The uncomfortable truth is the more immigrants you let in the more they destroy your society. Their reality is that a demographically declining population needs immigrants. When you allow immigration you have to be selective about the kind of people you let in. However nobody feels sorry for the British knowing their roles in the failure of the countries that people are fleeing from.
Oga, let your smartphone be useful na, google search is just sitting idle on your phone, if not you wont have displayed your ignorance that neither Kemi nor her parents are immigrants.

Your first sentence is not true of Kemi. Her Wikipedia page says her mother purposely traveled to UK to birth her there. Her parents were not studying in UK. Her mother was actually a lecturer in the US while her father was a medical doctor in Nigeria. That's what I read about her previously so I was surprised when I saw your take. That's why I said she's a second generation immigrant cause her parents took advantage of the citizenship by birth law applicable in the UK then. So it's right to say her mother went to the UK for the purpose of giving her citizenship which makes her second generation immigrant

Not every policy is caused by Nigerians, we might be everywhere but there are Indians and other nations migrating too.
Secondly, it is not our birthright they can stop issuing visas and nothing will happen, everyone will sit in their country.
No one is claiming birthright here. If they want to stop issuing, let them stop. Why demonising us in the process?
I know there are other countries migrants in the UK but I spoke on Nigerians because they are the ones I know. Besides, other peoples do not get the same racist treatment they save for dark skinned Africans. There are Indians, Asian, Eastern Europeans, etc migrants here and no-one bats an eyelid at them but let an African with dark skin enter the place like this, the atmosphere will change, why? These people have not gotten past seeing us as their slaves and it just rankles them to share a space with you on an almost equal footing... especially the elderly ones that remember the times that an African can be shot for as little as trying to ride the same bus as Caucasians.

Who is us? most of the immigration policies in Europe and North America were placed because of Asians and the Middle East and not Africa. Stop playing the victim card, not everything is about us. It's not about how they see you but how you see yourself.

Kemi's mother was essentially a 'health tourist' who travelled to the UK to avail of better medical facilities, she was not a student at the time. - fact! And while she (Kemi) only speaks of Nigeria in pejorative terms now, the streetz know she spent the first 16 years of her life in the country - where she relocated to with her mother two weeks after her birth - fact!

You are absolutely right, though - by crying even more than the bereaved, it is clear Mrs Badenoch suffers from an imposter syndrome!

Kemi Adegoke was born in 1980; her father is a GP, her mother a professor of physiology who, when she needed obstetric care not available in Nigeria (‘I was unlucky enough to grow up under a military dictatorship which had very Left-wing policies – it’s not something I would wish on anyone’) came to a private maternity clinic in Wimbledon, where Kemi was born. She was brought up in Nigeria before returning alone to England at the age of 16, enrolling in a part-time A-Level course at a sixth-form college and working at McDonald’s
