You keep saying she is from UK, but she was once an immigrant
Why didn't she stay in naija and join in developing it

Well, my opinion on this is that two truths can coexist. A person can criticize his state government and at the same time criticize the FG if he feels he's not getting the best from the two levels of government. I will give a practical example to this.

For example we have a man who is into Importation business resident in Lagos ; he brings in cars via the ports officially, clears his cargo with millions of naira (which a major source of revenue to FG as confirmed by Customs) and sells his cars in a car lot owned by him in Lagos.

Such a man is within his rights to call out FG and or Lagos state government if he believes he's not getting good governance from both levels of government. Why? Here is why :

1. Each time he brings in container load of vehicles he pays customs duty and other associated fees/rates to clear the goods at the port. These millions he pays is source of revenue for the FG and anytime he hears VP residence is renovated with 21 billion naira he has every right to drag FG &to express his dissatisfaction with such actions . Anytime he reads news of the FG appointing 11 different people to do the job of spokesperson/media aide to the presidency, he has every right to be enraged that the government is wasting scarce resources on frivolous things. Nobody should tell him to face his state government when the exchange rate and import duty exchange rate keeps going higher thereby frustrating his business.
What do you expect the exchange rate to do when politicians at all levels starched funds away out of the country? This has been happening since 1999 and we saw how Alamiesegha looted his state blind and yet the people were complaining of FG's neglect.

Dele Momodu exposed that a Pdp candidate in the last presidential primary gave each candidate $30k not Naira o. But the foreign exchange's imbroglio is caused by APC and FG. We only see what we want to see.

Taking LGs funds away from the state governors can help in reducing the outflow of funds abroad and to offshore accounts kept by most Governors. Naira should circulate locally but the Governors will prefer to stuff dollars in their babaringas but it's only Tpain inflicting the pain.

BlueRayDick:
2. The moment the man clears his container from Apapa port, he will have trucks transport his cargo to his car lot. On the way the trucks will pay different forms of fees to revenue collectors who collect these fees on behalf of the state government. Even local governments have their own revenue collectors who will "cut ticket" for the truck drivers. All of these are cost to the businessman and revenue to the state government. Now the guy pays land use charge to Lagos state government for the car lot where he sells the cars which is also another revenue to Lagos state government. Even local government will come to his car lot to collect various rates as required by the law. If his business is duly registered by CAC there's a high chance LIRS will call at his place to get what is theirs by law.

After a businessman pays all of these, he is within his right to be enraged when he reads on media that the Lagos state government buys air fresheners and rechargeable fans for ₦3.75billion. Nobody should gaslight him and tell him to go back to his state the moment he raises questions about how any of the state government's frivolous spendings. He should be able to make videos of roads in his areas that needs repairs in his area but continues to suffer neglect despite the humongous IGR of the state. Nobody should be telling him balderdash about having an agenda against the government for political reasons.

These are the issues.
Everyone has every right to call out the Governor where he resides. I don't have problem with that, but isn't it ludicrous when a Kogi resident is shouting Tpain when Yahaya Bello was allegedly laundering bllions out of the state unabated.

The Governors who stole the states blind are not questioned and can even be voted for to become a senator, because our agenda must sail through.

Let's start asking our Governors and Chairmen important questions. A Governor's main achievement for 8 years shouldn't be just to attract a brewery to his state and claiming he saved money, when infrastructures were in comatose and doctors went on strike for a year.

You see Governors constructing a flyover that no car passes or building a poultry farm in another state with no chickens on site. They bought cars for young girls every month, while the major roads were in terrible situations, yet the people kept mute since all eyes must be on the president.

Negligible percentage of Nigerians are importers, what is more prevalent is hunger in the land. One of the good moves to counter it, is the autonomy of the local govts. Funds should circulate properly at the local government level, and not take international flight from the state government houses.

But the question is, will people ask their state Governors and local government questions and reduce the consistent Tpain's bad government and marginalisation mantra?

Nothing you have said here has negated the points I raised. A person can call out FG as well as call out his state government.

I never said majority of Nigerians are importers, I only used importation business as a relatable example. I could've used a trader, I could've used a banker who pays his taxes, I could've used an average business owner, and so on and so forth.

The point is people should be able to question people heading whatever level of government that they feel is not doing enough to better their lot despite them being law abiding citizens who contribute their quota to the society. If FG is wasting money on frivolities people should call them out and no FG apologist should be trying to chide them for doing that.

What I do in my little way is suggest ways in which my state can grow revenue to my former boss who is part of the state economic team, whenever I observe/think of something I will convey it to him and he's welcoming to ideas.

And the point is, majority of our Governors haven't been doing enough but we decided to turn a blind eye to them because of agenda.

Fayose didn't do enough for my state, and he wasn't condemned as expected and he is still having a say in politics and even his brother criticizing the FG now.

Even Okpa only questioned Obi's performance here as Governor in hushed tone, after they attacked his former state Governor. I would be surprised if he didn't vote for the same Obi that failed woefully in infrastructures as Governor, in the last Presidential election.

The point is, we concentrate more on the President and shield the thieving Governors for reasons best known to us.

The IDF has confirmed carrying out a strike in southern Lebanon this morning, describing it as a warning shot.

“In the past hour, several suspects, some with vehicles, were identified in areas of southern Lebanon, violating the ceasefire agreement,” the IDF stated.

The military reported opening fire toward the suspects. A drone strike in the Markaba area was confirmed to be a warning shot near a vehicle, not intended to harm those inside.

“The IDF is stationed in southern Lebanon and is actively enforcing any violations of the ceasefire agreement,” the statement added.

Me I like focusing on one thing per time, so I've made primary focus FG...and I'm sure there are many others that have made that decision too, we should be allowed to cool.

People like you that think there's not enough criticism going the way of state governments should champion it, it's a noble cause, it's better than shedding tears that people are focusing too much on FG.
