Dangote cannot drive nnpc out of this business. Instead it is the other way round.

Nnpc has been subsidizing products since they became limited and still be returning profits in billions.

If it is war he wants, nnpc is equal to the task and with refineries in North and south, they have the fields to themselves

Port hsroucrt will servixe all they way to middle belt. Warri all the way to South West states close to them

Kaduna core northern states
Meanwhile Dangote is servicing a large chunk of EMEA and even some APAC regions. What does NNPC have to play with on that stage?

NNPC has nothing on Dangote. NNPC has been subsidizing on account of who? Offshore pilaging? Please.?

I agree that 2m @ ₦970 is not for small fries....but advertising with a copy that says

"For your Vehicle & Engine..." can suggest that.

Those big fries are not buying 2m "for their vehicle and engine..."
Ofcourse, if you are an industry, you can buy that much. It makes sense given the economies of scale at work here.

By "industry" I'm assuming you mean factory that manufactures something. My worry is I'm the safety of storing 2m litres of highly flammable petrol

A quick Google search will easily disprove this claim,
Pinnacle alone in Lagos has about 100,000Mt holding capacity,
What will the likes of MRS and Co have? undecided
You seem not to know the difference between MT and litres.

Dangote was waiting for NNPC to determine pricepoint only because they were to be the sole offtakers of petroleum products from his refinery for local market before their deal collapsed and not because he was holding for NNPC for competitive reasons. This is naive.

Oh yes,NNPC price isn't static but can't be as dynamic as someone producing as over 1000% more capacity,Dangote can go way lower than they can if it comes to price war.

If they wake up and sell at 600/litre without ant economics backing it then it's only a matter of time before they go moribund again and leave the entire market for Dangote.

Crude isn't priced for local markets at international prices anywhere in the world, this is highly uninformed.

You're a bit too excited about nomenclature too,
NNPC is one body that can align all subsidiaries to achieve a common goal, like selling raw materials at discounted rates to its subsidiary.
The government has no say in this except to wait for remittance from NNPC Corp.

Dangote will clearly win this fight,it'll only take time...
End.
Chief, there is no depot with in Nigeria that can receive 100kmt.of Pms.. None anywhere . None...what you saw and got excited is futuristic not current reality.

As at today the largest vessel coming in is bringing in 30kmt of Pms

You use Google but I know this like I know myself. My information is not Google reliant..... it isn't Google search.. It is offline knowledge of the situation

Pinnacle owned by Mbah of enugu is looking to future hub for Dangote products. It doest have 100kmy capacity for Pms, alone.

Nnpc cannot wake up and price crude to itself in naira. It needs federal government approval to do so just like they did for Dangote. The income of Nnpc is watched over by States and local governments not just fg

The fact that you don't know that crude is priced at international rate shows you don't even know Jack about the oil industry.. Even Dangote told you that crude is sold to them at international benchmark. Not doing so means loss of revenue which the NASS didn't budget for as subsidy

The only gain in buying from Nnpc is logistics. Whatever it is sold outside Nigeria is what it is sold within

What sense have you made with this post

Dangote is service the world but is in court already claiming damages for unsold stocks.

If he has such advantage he won't be worried about the Nigerian market.
