LASBCA Charges Alaba Market On Conformity by yoruboid(op): 2:53pm On Nov 28, 2024
....asked for removal of illegal Extensions/Attachments

The Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) today on its routine Monitoring and on the Spot Assessment of buildings under remodelling and renovation at Alaba International Market, in Ojo Local Government Area of the State charged all the building Owners/Developers to comply with the State Building Codes and Regulations or get sanctioned.

LASBCA, General Manager, Arc. Gbolahan Oki stated that most buildings under renovation and remodeling in the area were dilapidated and their Owners/Developers had no requisite documents such as building Plan Approval/renovation Permit and letter of authorization to Commence Construction from LASBCA nor evidence of Non Destructive Test (NDT) conducted by Lagos State Material Testing Laboratory (LSMTL) to ascertain the buildings' Structural stability.

Oki urged them to key into the ongoing Lagos State Amnesty Programme ending on 31st December, 2024 to perfect all their building documents as the State Government will not take easy with and owners/ developers of buildings without necessary titled documents.

"Lagos State Government frowns at buildings without approval and it is compulsory that any construction, renovation, rehabilitation going-on in the State must have valid building Plan approval", he stated.

The General Manager also requested for a Comprehensive List of all the buildings in the Market that are currently under construction from Alaba Amalgamated Association in order to know those that comply with the State's Building Regulations and also, for thorough monitoring, supervision, stage inspection and certification of the building process.

Even when a non Igbo criticise the ill of a system, you re quick to label them ipob or ESN.

I have come to know the tribe of yoruba as a judah that will eat with you and still end up killing the benefactor. Very few yorubs are straight, many of you cunning and dangerous.

LABCA just wake up that the buildings in alaba contravene standard. How about the ones in iyana ipaja market, ipaja market, ile epo market etc. ?

One sided justice is no justice. I know people like you would still think I am from the east.
When they were pulling down structures in Lagos Island and Oshodi a couple of weeks ago, were you incarcerated?

Funny. This is how Warri did it. And Today, there is no more any company in that city.

The same thing will happen in Lagos.

Evil genius, I dey salute you.

So by demolishing and pining something on another tribe in lagos will make lagos great again. Yoruba is now hungry because of the last ronu movement which was miscalculation. How much be bread and beans now?
Re: LASBCA Charges Alaba Market On Conformity by stevonics: 3:17pm On Nov 28, 2024
Some lazy cowards have codedly admitted that all businesses in their region is owned by strangers, visitors and non-indigenes. What a breed and specie of Low lifes. Why not close the markets completely to prove you own the land and deal with these rich strangers once and for all.

While you’re “Warri-ing” about us, this is happening

The US is currently building its biggest consulate in the world in Eko Atlantic and it’s at the 8th floor already

Lagos is getting more FDIs than any state in Nigeria. The Lekki FTZ did a turnover of over $5bn and it’s not even a quarter of its capacity yet and we haven’t counted Dangote

Class is permanent

It is only comments like this that shows the lack of the knowledge of basic history.

If you want to discuss the issue of Warri, why not get in touch and ask your father only if he is alive or if he himself is knowledgeable to know.

Nairaland has indeed democratized ignorance and stupidity.
