Hello guys, please how do I do a SEVIS transfer from one school to another, my interview wasn't successful but I've been admitted into another school for spring 2025 and I'd like to transfer my sevis records so i wouldn't have to pay another sevis fee. Please how do do this? Do I need to contact the previous school to let them know? Ps, I've already gotten my i-20 for the first school, I asked for a deferral which they granted and issued another i-20 for spring but I've decided to accept another school... Please how do I go about it

Technically, it is the designated school official who can initiate a SEVIS transfer at the request of the student. The student can't transfer their SEVIS record on their own.

Your case is a bit different since you do not have an active record (never admitted to the US to pursue a course of study). The SEVIS fee is valid for about a year so you may not have to pay. If you are sure that you want to attend the second school, contact the DSO of the second school and let them know that you have an I20 from your first school but want to attend the second school. This is pretty straightforward as many students change their schools before or after they have received their I20s and/or visas.

Has anyone successfully received their visa after a 221g? Visa was approved at embassy but passport was returned after a few days and no additional documents requested. It’s getting to 3 months now. I really don’t know what has happened. What kind of checks are being done during this period. School course is not under technology watch list. Does anyone have a similar experience , please DM.

hello guys, please I paid my MRV fee back in July with the old platform, I was told that i need to migrate to the new platform which I have done. I have also sent them a receipt of my payment with GT BANK but till now they have not confirmed the receipt, and I am unable to schedule an interview. Please my school is resuming in January- and I have deferred once already I can't afford to defer again. Can someone help me please? what do i do? I have called and opened a ticket on the avitts platform, and they keep saying to be patient. it's been over 2-3 months.

yes i was told to create the new profile in order to send them a ticket. they never sent a mail to migrate

And you no had no difficulty creating your profile on the new site? Usvisaappt? I tried to create one today to generate the number for the MRV fee but I couldn't... Do you think it's from the site itself or my own end?

Lagos is worse, abuja is better, what dates are you looking at??

Try and look at previous posts to check people that had the same issue. Though, alot of people
filled Abuja on the Ds 160 and late chose Lagos and there was no issue but try and confirm.
