HumbleNdMoist:Do not buy transmission fluid in just about any shop or market. That transmission hates fake fluids. If you can't afford the original fluid from certified shops, leave the one in there alone for now. Don't tamper with the height of the car. You will mess the handling of that car up and it's the handling that is it's key selling point. While you are on the transmission fluid change, consider changing the differential and the transfer case fluids as well. They are equally as important. Whatever you do, do not clean the throttle body if you don't ha e a scanner that can zero the throttle position or angle sensor. If you need any more tips on the mdx, you can reach out. Enjoy the ride. |

Good morning boss, someone should please compare RX 330 and Acura MDX 08/09. I will like to get either of the two |

9icetoo:Thanks, I’m not in the country now but will definitely work according to your recommendations when I’m back and avoid the stuff you mentioned. Any suggestions on how exactly to purchase genuine fluid? |

olumzzz:Why are you asking for it to be highlighted? Isn’t that just an aesthetic choice or in your opinion/experience is there some downside to doing an exterior upgrade? I hope not cos I really prefer the ‘12/13 look over the ‘07/08

abeg which Suv can one get within 7.5/8m as toks o.. I'm only seeing mdx which might seem like a fuel guzzler |
| Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by olumzzz(m): 5:53am On Oct 24, 2024 |
Hehehehehe:Both are good options depending on what you're looking for. Driving experience - MDX (AWD trumps that of RX330 and it has better off-road capability) Practicality - MDX (More leg and boot space. Also higher ground clearance and 3rd row seat) Interior - MDX is clear Fuel economy - RX (ceteris paribus) Maintenance - RX (RX edges this because it shares engine parts with other cars, so cheaper to maintain and parts are more available) Reliability - Very close to call, but RX edges this only because it can take more abuse. |

olaboyeh:SUVs are fuel guzzlers. Be ready to buy fuel if it's SUV that you want |
| Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by olaboyeh(m): 10:34am On Oct 24, 2024 |
olumzzz:doesn't mean we can't get a fuel economical suv... |
| Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by olumzzz(m): 1:47pm On Oct 24, 2024 |
olaboyeh:E no dey. Unless you're considering crossovers like CRV, Rav4, Sportage or Tucson. A proper SUV is a fuel guzzler |
| Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by maik99(m): 5:06pm On Oct 24, 2024 |
olumzzz:No be even for this era of #1k per liter Ifyu can’t buy fuel regularly just buy an i4 sedan and drink water and drop cup |
| Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by Elxandre(m): 4:25am On Oct 28, 2024 |
olumzzz:There are still a few 4 cylinder Suvs though, like some models of highlander and prados. |
| Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by olumzzz(m): 5:37am On Oct 28, 2024 |
Elxandre:Yes, they use a 2.7L 4 cylinder engine but you still can't classify them as fuel efficient. If you compare the fuel consumption to their mates using the 3.5L v6 2gr engine, the difference won't even exceed 2 or 3mpg. |
| Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by DaVin122: 8:04am On Nov 07, 2024 |
Please Sir, 2016 rav 4 ,2015 Venza , 2011 Rx 350? Which should I go for ? I initially wanted a sedan but bad roads are a threat so I'm opting for an SUV. |

DaVin122:All are great vehicles and shouldn’t give any issues, but still aren’t in the same class ( at least when comparing the Rav4 to the other two) From your query, your only major criteria is bad roads. So I’ll just give my view on most important factors Maintenance- The mentioned vehicles are reliable and shouldn’t give issues if all things are fine with it ( Rav4 should be easier on maintenance) Fueling- Rav4 should be better, a 4 plugs venza would come next, but it still won’t be on par with the rav4 Refinement/luxury- no brainer the rx350/ full option of the 2015 venza Ground clearance- venza wins here Verdict- all are great vehicle, be careful with it powertrain they can be very expensive if anything goes wrong. Lastly I offer vehicle pre-purchase inspection Which includes comprehensive scan report, vin report, power train checks and other services , you can contact me @ 08028992075, cheers 🥂 |

Hey everyone, please I’d like a bit of help. I’m looking to get my first car and I have no idea which to go with. It’s will be a car for me and my family, no long distance trips but bad road is a problem. I just need something reliable and easy to maintain since I have no knowledge on anything cars and just learnt driving recently. I was considering Toyota Corolla but decided to come here to seek advice. My budget is 7M |
| Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by olumzzz(m): 11:08pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
quietpluvi:For bad roads, I would suggest a reliable crossover like 07 to 010 Honda CRV or 06 to 010 Rav4 (both 4 cylinder engines) |

king406:Buy the Toyota but make sure you drain the engine and transmission oil and use baby oil to refill. It will last forever. Thermostat you don’t need to remove. Just remove the whole fan unit for better performance |

king406:That your mechanic hates you for saying you should remove the thermostat. Infact when I checkout any vehicle the first thing I do to find out if it has been abused is to open the ignition to see if the fan has been made permanent. Once I see that, I waka. Never remove the thermostat of a vehicle neither should you tamper with the cooling fan factory settings. |
