HTS and allies have entered Aleppo. One of the greatest battles in Syria war was the battle for Aleppo and the city have then since been on massive rebuild but Putin allowed same terrorists organisation to over run the city again because of his rubbish peace deal with Turkey to clear Idlib even when Iran and Syria government said those guys will launch attacks on future if they don’t continue their offensive to clear all the eastern and northern part of Syria. Vic2023:This onslaught started almost immediately after the ceasefire agreement. The plan is to either topple Assad or weaken him to the extent of abandoning his support for the resistance by seizing key routes through which Hezbollah gets weapons through Syria. They're hoping to achieve this within the 60-day ceasefire period during which they'd have restocked on ammo. Having cut off Hezbollah's main artery of weapons supply, they'll provoke them into a war by repeated violations of the ceasefire to finish them off completely. This is the last and best opportunity for Erdogan to press for a more favorable deal from Assad. Erdogan wants a Northern Cyprus situation in Syria. He can also sell this to his Western partners as taking the initiative on a maneuver that simultaneously advances Western and Israeli interests. The key objective for the Axis is to stabilize the front. If I start talking about Iran's responsibilities in this theater, you'll pop a vein about "Mullah-bashing". Anyway, depending on how things progress, Iran would/should deploy thousands more troops to Syria. I consider this episode the unavoidable hazard of sitting at a table with treacherous partners. For better or worse, this is what you get with the Turks. This is reminiscent of the last Azeri maneuver against Armenia for NK. The Turks are apex opportunists. Tehran and Moscow can't even consider the option of cutting Turkey to size (I know it'll be expensive), because it may play into Western plans of switching out Erdogan for a more pliable puppet.
