I get the plane inconvenience; flying can be such a hassle sometimes. But the adventure was worth it! The heat in Morocco sounds intense—43 degrees is no joke! I bet you were sweating buckets. Your best morocco itinerary looks incredible! Ouzoud Waterfall must have been breathtaking, and camel riding is a classic Moroccan experience. Quad biking and beach time in Essaouira sound like a blast, too.Dinner at a good restaurant must have been a real treat after all that exploring. I’ve heard Morocco has some of the best food around.Shopping in the markets must have been fun to pick up some unique souvenirs. It looks like you made the most of your time there! |

ukaface:Did you find any Naija restaurant while you were in Marrakesh? I've been looking for one to visit with my colleagues. Can't find any. |

| Re: My Trip To Marrakech-morocco by Sweetvie: 7:09pm On Nov 30, 2024 |
pansophist:Thank goodness, lol! How was the food? The last time I was there, it was a hustle trying to find a Nigerian restaurant. I'll be going to Marrakech again for my birthday, so this saves me a lot of stress. Thanks! |

Sweetvie:The food just dey there jare. I mean, you can't compare it with Nigeria where the ingredients are fresh and authentic. It's hot, largely portioned, good meat-soup ratio, nice ambience, reasonably priced, awesome customer services, fresh, and opened until 1am. Although they lacked flexibility. I asked for a mixture of egusi and vegetable soup and I got a sharp NO. But the girl fine sha, so I no vex. I'm easy to satisfy, so for me, it's above pass mark. But if you're coming from Nigeria to visit, don't come here looking for Nigerian food. Enjoy Chinese, Jamaican, Morrocaan and other dishes, then go Naija and eat Nigerian. I flew from Scandinavia, so there is no Naija restaurant there. All in all, it was a good experience. Tonight, I'll masticate some KFC bucket of chicken ![]() |

Sweetvie:One-off indulgence once a while no bad. Perth? Wow. That's very far. Does it worth it? My one-way flight from Stockholm was five hours. That duration sef made me so bored that it felt like forever. But it worth it sha. Tired of wearing winter jacket and day getting dark before 4pm. |

pansophist:Insightful. Nice to know that this travel thread is still going on steadily with unique insights since I FIRST read it in 2023. It's strange though that Jamaican cuisine (which in terms of ingredients and style of cooking is majorly of African origin and tropical like that of Nigeria) would be readily appealing to the taste buds in Morocco than Nigerian foods. It's still a scenic country to visit as a tourist, BUT it's a horrid place for male and female migrants who are stranded while facing dehumanizing conditions in that country after paying agents and making the journey through the Sahara Desert from West African countries. |
